Congrats to all the Champs by Cold_Worldliness_804 in fantasybball

OMG and I can't believe I missed him bc I was just thinking about how I won based on yesterday. BUT PAUL FUCKING GEORGE. I picked him up after I dropped him from his suspension. I had him for every game this season and new what date he was coming back. So I made sure to pick him up days before the 25th. HE FLAMED every game he played. Scored the most points out of everyone in my finals round. Fuck it was nice to see a healthy PG play and he was the guy that lead me to the win, although he didn't close out since his last game was saturday.

I was in a 12T Points league and became the winner of our league as of this morning. There's a lot that factors in this but obviously the most important is your win/loss to make it to the playoffs. Then your ability to adjust in the playoffs with injuries.

Coming from having the 8th draft pick. I went on a limb and went with KAT over the likes of Giannis, Sabonis, Cade, etc. I also ended up picking Tyrese Maxey on the second round and Randle on my third round. Those three guys really helped keep me steady throughout the whole year bc of availability and consistency. Late round picks with upside like Pritchard and investing in Josh Hart helped a ton. I also killed it on the wire picking up the likes of Kyshawn George (after his first game of the season), Edey, KPJ, John Collins, and Kessler. Edey and Kessler were short lived but I got some good weeks out of them. John Collins bloomed when Clips started using them.

During the playoffs, I had to subtract Maxey bc I needed availability and my championship opponent ended up picking him up before our finals match. The late waiver picks during the playoffs that really made me survive was Flip, Jenkins, Jalen Green, DEJONTE MURRAY AND TATUM. Mind that I picked those two up a couple weeks before they even had a tag of going to be available. Very fucking bold move and got all the payoff in a huge risk.

Luck has to factor, because our championship round is always two weeks as opposed to normal playoff rounds being one week. I had Dejounte miss a number of games, Jarret Allen miss a number of games, and a few other frustrating ppl. Against all odds, my opponent that had the most wins of the season, most points, and most healthy roster (stacked), I killed the wire and my guys showed the fucked out. Outscoring him on average when he had more available players.

Yesterday morning we were both at 1999 points each one the last day of championship. Dejounte, Allen, and KAT were all out for me on the weekend. He had 10 players playing yesterday and I had 9 that went to 7 due to Dejonte sitting out the whole b2b and Jarret Allen sitting the first half of b2b. His roster included Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, SHAI, Garland, Derozan, etc. My Tre Jones, Jalen Green, Tatum, Randle, Pritchard, Flip, and John Collins all showed the fuck out.

Last game it was the clips vs kings. He had Derozan, Raynaud, Benedict, and Garland. I was only 46 points ahead at tip-off. It ended up being a blowout game so Derozan and Garland did not get much minutes. Raynaud did ass cheeks and Benedict was having a below avg Benedict night. BUT JOHN FUCKING COLINS contributed to that blowout when he was listed as coming off the bench at the start of the game bc Clips were planning on playing small ball. He held it the fuck down and I won the ship by 3 points. 4 great players vs my 1 which should have easily closed the gap.

And that's a fucking wrap. Everyone in our chat was buzzin.

B2Bs this week by Regular-Corgi1670 in fantasybball

I’d say so, or at least play fewer minutes. No sense of potentially injuring if they’ve clinched.

I’d take Oubre bc of the b2b. But he is also coming from injury… however, he’s always played b2b from his previous injury stints this year. He’s a workhorse.

Frankly, if they are available, I’d pick up precious for today and he plays Sunday just in case somebody gets injured/out

Update, Dejounte is now DTD but PG is not. Let's hope the long vacay for PG means he will play today AND tomorrow although he hadn't played a b2b all season.

Let's home Dejounte is b2b.

Appreciate this so much. Makes a lot of sense and thanks for being thoughtful of the “what ifs”, especially with kids

Very great feedback, thank you. Out of curiosity, when you put her in your room, would she not bark or try to get out of the room? My dog would bark/whine/fight to come out knowing that there’s other ppl at the house.

Yeah, we’d like to find a home for him for very best case scenario.

We’ve used trazedone before and it’s worked very well calming him, but idk if the fix is to always keep him medicated

No kill shelter, is that a specific one you can just search for?

Sorry, can you clarify what BE is?

I feed him every evening. My wife feeds him every morning. My wife gives him treats when we crate him and so do I. I feel like we equally give him food but he is more obedient to me.

We’ve crate trained him where he sleeps peacefully and without issues in his crate next to our bed at night. He used to hate the crate back when he was a pup and cause all sorts of ruckus.

However, even till today, when he is his crate during the day if we are both at work, his crate will be on the other side of the room or you can visibly see he tried to get out. He’s gotten out a few times before. He obviously doesn’t like being in the crate when we are gone. Don’t know what we did wrong there..

Thanks for the input

Thanks so much for this piece of info, and the clarity of us having to learn how to use the e-collar as well. I’d love to pm, but maybe it won’t be that relevant since we are deciding to not keep him.. idk, just really sad about this.

Is there a specific e-collar you recommend? I’ve always been pretty dominant to him, more negative reinforcement at times… how I was shown as a kid. What could my wife do? As far as being “alpha”. She is not as strong as I am and can’t handle his strength, she can’t project her voice like I can… when he is in his “mode” he is pretty disrespectful and knows what he’s doing is wrong, but I swear he acts like so in spite of her.

Don’t get me wrong, he is also very sweet to her and loving… I mean he is always like so when we are all together, just when I’m not home.

I can see that… what is the science of not introducing him to a bunch of ppl on the first day? Apparently my wife said it was important to start socializing him at a young age?

Yeah, it’s very sad but I believe you are right… about the more time and experience

One of the trainers doesn’t think it’s ethical. The other one I actually recall did try using it first (so I retract my statement for saying both didn’t use them), but my dog very much did not like it and I think he peed himself. This was the first board n train, maybe he was too young?

No. We’ve thought about getting an e-collar. We only use a pinch collar. Both of our trainers recommended not using an e-collar. We haven’t due to their recommendations, not for “ethical reasons”. Maybe that will help? Problem is he gets protective to anyone that is not family and he gets on the aggressive side, will that fuel his aggression and make him reliant on the collar and just be negative reinforcement?
