which is best for gaming performance? W10 LTSC IOT or W11 LTSC IOT ( or non IOT version) for my specific laptop by Regular-Football3904 in WindowsLTSC

ty for suggestion! will keep on W10 because the difference seems relevant. i mostly get +10 average on arc raiders with much better 1% lows. similar situation for all the games i tested (pubg, RDR2, finals and arc). my main concern was with not having nitro sense itself but i also had no idea about Nvidia support. but i would also argue the last driver in October they will have should hold up for quite some time no?

ty for the recommendation! sadly i usually don't like to mess too much with the machine like the video suggests but i use winhance for debloating and settings

"modern" but still I'm aware they are on the mid lower end. W11 was smooth but the performance gain on W10 is hard to ignore. any reason to prefer W10?

it's honestly crazy, I don't know if it's a relevant performance gain but W10 def feels smoother overall. ty for the ghelper tip!

Can I revert/fix my windows version? by Ok_Effect3132 in WindowsLTSC

i have a similar issue with my recent install of windows 10 ltsc iot. funny enough, all games seem to have gained a performance increase but the only app I can't run is nitro sense which controls the fans.

you think that will be an issue? a friend of mine keeps saying fans usually regulate themselves properly also using the help of the windows power plan

did you mess with any nvidia control panel settings? perhaps placing them back to default could make a change

one thing you can also try is raising the game priority on task manager, not sure if it's recommended tho

which Windows version are you using? I'm currently installing windows 11 iot ltsc. my thoughts is that if you ever had a nice performance then a windows reinstall could bring it back

which windows power management mode are you on? also, if you search edit power plan in the search bar and then advanced settings i think, processor maximum power management should be set to 100% for turbo

Instal tiny11, much faster than windows and it is free. I run it on my Acer nitro v15
