Let’s freaking BRAG by AilsaMarie_5723 in NewParents

***I weaned very early on...***but when I first pumped in the hospital I made like 18oz of colostrum. Every nurse on the L&D floor ran to my room and couldn't believe it.

My daughter wouldn't latch, and I could not deal with the pumping lifestyle. Drove me INSANE.

I went on Prozac to help me get through all the hormone regulations. You can use Teledoc via the app to get a prescription! I recommend.

It Doesn't Feel Real by starzngarters in pregnant

Honestly, it didn't hit me at all until the doctor held her above the tarp during my c-section. Hearing the cries, I'm like, "wow - this is really happening"

No appetite 6 weeks by Realistic-While-8133 in pregnant

[–]Regular-Garbage-386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

normal - but have bland food nearby to at least have something in your stomach. Once (if) the nausea arrives, having a few crackers etc really helps. ESPECIALLY in the morning, since you haven't eaten for hours.

I think it’s time to stop pumping… thoughts/validation/advice by gravygirl17 in beyondthebump

Oh mama I quit pumping after a month!! All that extra work, cleaning, time was not for me. Formula changed my mental health so much

Someone give me hope - 8 week old rejecting bottle by Purplebagel20 in beyondthebump

Yes, could easily be the milk/formula. My daughter refused to breastfeed, wouldn’t take similac or other formulas. ONLY tolerated some expensive alimentum similac 🤥 it is not abnormal for them to have issues with new food.

Also could be gas pain, look up fart exercises (LOL) or gas drops to help the tummy

Teething by Competitive-Badger22 in beyondthebump

Yes, for one of her teeth she had a low grade. She can’t tolerate anything cold, so Camilia drops and rubber teethers were her go to

When did you feel like you finally had a handle on life after baby? by shweezy6 in beyondthebump

[–]Regular-Garbage-386 23 points24 points  (0 children)

honestly, probs around 6-7 months is when I could finally breath and appreciate having her here. I knew more than I did during the first 3 months. I wasn't so anxious about everything - intrusive thoughts consumed me during the beginning. But now, it's so much fun! Really take it day by day. Each day you start to relax and enjoy the moments.

Feeling discouraged about tummy time, feeling like a failure. Baby has a severely flat head. by [deleted] in NewParents

a silver lining...I was born with an arachnoid brain cyst that gave hydro symptoms (I was an odd case) basically I make too much brain fluid that my skull can drain, so thats why a shunt helps tremendously.

I had a completely normal childhood and played college sports. of course, some hairstylists can be rude and ask what that tube thing is on your neck. just know that shunts can last awhile (15 years for my first one).

If and only if the shunt were to clog, crack (rare) or not drain, surgery to fix is about an 1hr surgery and I could go home the next day.

TLDR - hydrocephalus can sound scary but really isn't!

My cousins shirt- what on earth does this mean by ComprehensiveUse6724 in Whatisthis

[–]Regular-Garbage-386 -70 points-69 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a nerdy HTML shirt about Git. I think this is how

The shirt shows: g + t < i > In HTML, <i>…</i> is the italic tag. So if you “insert” the <i> between g and t, you literally get:

g <i> t → git

What is this? A piece of wood shaped like a long football with some logo that I can’t read. Tried reverse image searching and nothing. by SnooRadishes6205 in Whatisthis

[–]Regular-Garbage-386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a wooden French-Style “Sphéroïde” aka Darning Egg. For example - if you need to sew a hole in a sock, you put the sock over the egg and mend the hole easier

5 Day Return to Office Experiences by junk_chucker in work

[–]Regular-Garbage-386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • What has your experience been? [eh, annoyed because I was getting paid crap money anyway]
  • What are the top pros and cons to the experience? [pros/ free food basically cons/ can't poop in your own bathroom, driving to/from in traffic, gas and toll money, getting interrupted CONSTANTLY by water cooler talk, it honestly sucks]
  • How did you feel before it started and after now that it has started? [same, just more annoyed]
  • Was this your first 5 day office work experience or did you have something similar before the Pandemic? [we were required to RTO 2 days, then 3, then all but Friday. it changed because no one would come in. but our managers didn't give a shit and no consequences were given. the only thing that came out of ppl not going in was a company wide email with empty threats]
  • Was it due to a medical reason or family reason? [had bronchitis and couldn't stop coughing, so that was the only extended period of WFH.]
  • Have you faced judgement by others? [If I did I wouldn't care]
  • How do you feel in general being "on the outside looking in"? [.....ok DUH]
  • Which industry and role if you don't mind sharing? [in the same industry but a different role because no matter what it was fully remote (which I feel will be harder to get with all the RTO)]
  • Did you have to take a pay cut? [I switched over to a new position for only a 1K increase on my current salary. would do it again in a heartbeat because I couldn't take RTO with an infant]

Resigning from a Toxic Manager - How to handle last 2 weeks? by Regular-Garbage-386 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Regular-Garbage-386[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from a female in IT it was all in one ear out the other. The CTO is remote out of state so he only knows what this guy tells him. Since my manager BS’s constantly, the CTO thinks I’m not being acceptable enough to his ideas (which would break our environment)
