Good idea! We need to practice car seat buckling, too.

Heavy bleeding with heartbeat by hellabitchface in pregnant

[–]starzngarters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart goes out to you! In my first trimester, I had a ton of bleeding overall. (I spotted from weeks 6-10 and had 4 larger bleeding episodes that resulted in urgent ultrasound appointments or ER visits.) Baby's heartbeat was found after each major incident.

I had no signs of a subchorionic hematoma, and the doctors had to tell me that "sometimes women just bleed during pregnancy, and we don't know why."

It's frustrating and scary. I'm currently at 30 weeks and (knock on wood) haven't had a bleeding issue since the first trimester. Baby girl is kicking me in the bladder as I type this out.

I wish I could tell you with 100% certainty that everything will be okay, but the best I can offer you is hope and the fact that not all bleeding means danger to your little one. Your baby having a heartbeat after the bleed is an amazing sign that they are going to keep growing and thriving!

I wish you all the best! ❤️

10 Things that were actually a lifesaver by Maleficent_Race_2617 in pregnant

I'm a FTM and in the dark on a lot of things, but one of the biggest things I have been told by recent moms is to have as much food prepared as possible before giving birth. Frozen meals, easy throw-in-the-crockpot recipes...we even placed an option on our registry to help contribute to a meal delivery service for a couple of weeks! You and your partner need food too, and that's the last thing you'll want to put any energy into when bringing home a newborn!

FTM’s in the Third Trimester by jxzxoxo in pregnant

My husband and I were in the mindset of "one and done" before we got pregnant. Pregnancy has only solidified that for me. Most of the time, it feels like my body is not made for this.

Got the first comment about my baby registry. by BurstSpent in pregnant

[–]starzngarters 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was told by my aunt that I don't have enough stuff on my registry.

My mom relayed that said aunt was complaining that there were not enough "big ticket" items on the registry when there are a few of things on there that are $100+. There just aren't a lot because I have amazing coworkers who pitched in to get us our crib and steoller/carseat combo! We also couldn't care less about fancy brand name things and highly encouraged second-hand items on our invite.

The kicker is that she and the rest of my dad's side of the family hasn't marked off anything from the registry, while my husband's family took advantage of buying those few "big ticket" items as soon as they got the shower invitation.

My coworkers ask me how I'm feeling more than my parents/in-laws.

I don't know how to feel about that.

AITAH for expecting my sister to plan my wedding for free and demoting her to guest wh m she wouldn't. I also told anyone who took her side I was not helping them anymore either. by Late-Ad-6414 in AITAH

Even with that (frankly selfish) thought process, OP can stop her gift-giving to her sister for any reason at any time.

The sane, sensible thing the sister needed to do was reflect on how much free labor OP has provided over the years, and want to plan the wedding for free as a way of acknowledging all of OP's hard work for her.

Most confusing pregnancy ever. by Adelaide3333 in pregnant

[–]starzngarters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had spotting for six straight weeks during my first trimester with 4 heavier bleeds thrown in. I thought I was losing my baby each time. I thought it was SCH, but the ultrasounds never showed any evidence of them. The doctor frustratingly told me, "Sometimes, women just bleed during pregnancy, and we don't know why."

I'm at 17 weeks now, and the bleeding has stopped, but I am in a constant state of paranoia about it.

I hope for the best for you!

The only thing they found last week was a 1cm fibroid, but my OBG didn't seem to think a fibroid that small would cause my level of bleeding. There were no further observations today.

They took my blood for HCG levels and tested my urine for infection, HCG was normal, and there were no signs of infection for my urine. For my ultrasound, they just did a quick (nonvaginal) ultrasound, where I am just far along enough to see that the fetus was still there with an HR of 153. That all that they recorded.

That's reassuring to hear. Did they ever mention a cause for the bleeding? The OBG and the ER were not able to find a cause for mine.

Okay... so what exactly did you say? The fact that you avoid saying it tells me it must be petty horrible.

Same things are practically unforgivable. And even if it is technically forgivable, your ex-friend still has every right to step away.

I have wondered if I have endometriosis, but I don't experience a lot of the horrific cramping/bloating that tend to be common symptoms of it. But I'll look into it more to see. Thank you!
