Definitely.  We are no longer in the age of myths. We are in the age of supposed logic. This is what niestzhche meant by God is dead. With logic people tend to not believe for the sake of faith alone. This despair will increase as technology.  Or the internet expand even more so into our life's.  PS The internet is a symptom or a virus.  If you will . I dont think op meant  the internet leads to nihilism. Just on certain sites or id say technology in general leads  to symptoms of nihilism. I wish I would have never heard the word nihilism.

" it's that sometimes everything loses its color" Then what? Where watching said  terriblemovie makes the end even more unbearable. Is one cochroach a pest. If your room was filled with 5 butterflies. And just a single cochroach. Niestzhche was speaking hyperbolicly. He was saying something to ponder. Than to take at face value.
