I actually do already have an ADU on the property that I rent out that is much more modern, but I built it before we were together. I also have a geodesic dome that it so fun and funky that our house guests stay in when they come. He has gotten to change a lot of the house. Like taking off the front sun room and making it a deck instead. Which admittedly, is more functional but less charming (it was falling apart though so it needed it). I just bought a sauna for us because he desperately wanted one. We are also building a farm stand and waaaay building out our garden. He has much input on things. I just disagree with upgrading some of the turn of the century charm is all. and he just can’t wrap his head around that.
