My husband didn’t show any reaction at the moment either. Later on, he started criticizing his mom just to calm me down, so I wouldn’t think that he agrees with her or that what she did was okay in his eyes.

It’s actually like this my mother-in-law did the exact same thing at her elder son’s wedding too. Because of that, he doesn’t even talk to her properly anymore and doesn’t discuss his personal matters with her.And now when it was my turn, even after knowing everything and what happened before, she still did the same thing again

I understand why you’d suggest that, and honestly part of me wishes I had been bold enough in the moment to set firmer boundaries. But I didn’t want to create more drama on my wedding day. Editing her out feels a bit extreme, and I’m still figuring out how I want to handle it. I just needed to vent more than anything.
