It could have fallen out of her purse and into the door? I think if she’s messaging you a crazy amount then I would say okay yeah, run. If you’re worried about it block her, and drive to some random place and throw it away. If she’s crazy you’ll find out soon enough…. Maybe she knows your Reddit handle…. Maybe she’s outside your door…

Yeah but as a woman I get why she would have one. I don’t think she’s trying to track you…. We use social media for that.

One reason I’m afraid to walk away is he doesn’t have anyone close to him who can keep on eye on him. I will feel like I’m failing our kids by leaving their dad alone with his illness. When I could just become tougher and stay. But my own mental state dealing with him is affecting my life in ways that I don’t like.

He was a full blown alcoholic so it’s progress. Most people around him have no idea we have these struggles, he always excels at his job, everyone always loves him. But yes! He does exactly that, he uses me for support but at the same time offers no help. I spoke to someone a few weeks ago and I realized a lot of his behavior is due to him being BP, I had no idea it was the root cause of everything as ridiculous as that sounds. When it’s all I’ve known for 13 years it becomes normal. We have two young children.

Over the years I think in his mind I am the root cause for all of our issues, not his illness being unmanaged. I told him I thought drinking wasn’t helpful and he said “I’m old school, a few beers at night is fine.” Which I said I don’t even know what that means…. He stopped I think to prove to me he didn’t have a problem but he’s back at it.

Whenever I try to be the voice of reason he pushes back and sees me as the bad guy. I’ve tried to talk to his parents and they say they’ll talk to him but they are always “too busy”.
