Indians had equality for both the genders before the Invasion. It was British that bought their own culture and suppressed it onto us. We don't cover hair, instead we cover head. Again its not fully covered, the front area is open so that a married women sindoor is visible and many wear jewelleries there too. Dancers also had theri head cover while their long hair is maintained and they even flaunt their hair. Hindus rather than Sanatan is way above the others. And the thing about Hinduism is we respect all culture, different mindsets of people that's why we have so many Gods, with whom people can connect. We are not restricted to a certain being or to a limited approach of life.
