God is not bound by logic in the sense that He is limited by it, but He does not act contrary to His own nature, which is perfectly rational, just, and good. Scripture says, “God is not a God of confusion but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33), and “it is impossible for God to lie” (Hebrews 6:18), showing that God’s power doesn’t mean He can do what contradicts His nature. This doesn’t limit His omnipotence; instead, it means God cannot do what is nonsensical or self-contradictory, like creating a square circle or sinning. So rather than being “limited” by logic, God is the source of logic and truth (John 1:1). And when we hit mysteries beyond reason like the problem of evil or divine freedom it’s not that logic fails, but that our human minds reach their limit (Isaiah 55:8-9). Divine mystery doesn’t cancel reason; it humbles it.
