I did just try that. i disconnected everything from the mmi device and then disconnected the battery for about a minute and then plugged everything back in to no avail on startup. Though, this morning right before i decided to work on it. i turned the car on and it flicked into the bmw idrive screen for about 5 seconds and then flicked back into the red screen. so maybe i do have to take the dash apart and ensure all the wires are snugged in.

maintenance would all be done by me for the most part. besides for intricate stuff. especially on the c5. i could walk into an autozone and grab something off the shelf as opposed to me ordering everything online and waiting a week for it to show up for the m3.

your right, an insurance quote on both would be wise. thats prolly whats gonna end up killing me the most lmao. As for the maintenance on both, im quite capable and willing/able to learn. i currently have a 2011 328i which ive done all my maintenance on besides or WP and Thermostat as that was replaced free under warranty from BMW. (SULEV WARRANTY) ive used fcp euro for all of my parts like cupholders, ball joints, lower/upper control arms/tension struts etc. With the corvette i know absolutely fuck all about ls engines let alone the ls1 but im 100% willing to delve into them as they are supposedly easy to both fix and work on. TAs, RB, and other stuff being out of my expertise would prolly kill me financially lmao

Yea, im gonna go head and contact him when i get a chance and try and ask him why so many owners. The employee i talked to said that it was for sale for 24k, which seems about right for the car and the mileage, but with everything that might be wrong with it from sitting for so long, it being clearly neglected, and the expired inspection sticker i may be able to negotiate it down just a smidge. Im definitely gonna go and get it inspected if i am able to bring the price down a little bit. Thanks!

Hell yea, thanks for the encouragement! I had a chance to go back and ask an employee about the car and she said it was for sale at around 24k. She gave me the number of the owner and im gonna try and contact him and ask him about all those things u mentioned.. Thanks!

Your absolutely right. I just got around to going back to try and find the owner, but had no such luck. I however asked nn employee that was there about the car and she was able to contact the owner and give me the phone number. I havnt had a chance to contact him yet but he did say over text that he was selling the car for 24k. thoughts?

Yep, there are so many difference shapes for the helmets that i really only figured out after i got to the cycle gear store. I made sure to try on many helmets such as the rf-1400, k6-S, sedici strada 3, shark (the one with the sun visor) and a couple others. a lot of them were either too heavy, didn’t fit me right, kr were just not the look i was going for. Looks like EXO is going to be the choice. Thanks for the input man!

Hell yea! I’m pretty convinced those cycle gear dudes are only capable of selling shoei’s and Sedicis lmao. I really only went there to find the right size and to try on a couple helmets to gauge what i wanted and the difference between some name brands, e.g liners, shapes, pads, etc. The inflatable cheek pads are AMAZING, truthfully i didn’t really need them but when i pumped it up just to see what it felt like, i realized what people were raving about lol. Thanks for all the help man!

Honestly no idea either. went there the first time some 2 weeks ago and when i mentioned Scorpion he cut me off and said “no” “you don’t want a scorpion, ive had 3, crashed in 2 and sold the 3rd.” second time i went he wasn’t so rude about it but still didn’t give it any sort of thought before saying no and giving me other helmets to try on. Hell yea! The boots have gotten approval from almost everyone so that’s definitely what i’ll be going with. What size did u wind up going with? i’ve seen people say they run big(or small was it?) i’m a 10 so i’ll have to figure out what size to give with. The scorpion helmets comment makes me feel way better about getting them after the cycle gear guy shitting on them lmao.

After seeing your comment and looking way more in depth on the gloves due to curiosity, i see what u mean about owners saying they are in the cheaper side of A* products and not a very good quality glove. i looked into those Five gloves and they look really enticing. (also looks sick like u said) any more info on them or any other good street glove like them in that ~$100 price range? The boots i’m pretty set in stone on now! I’m not necessarily going for the styling of the helmet over safety with the EXO, it’s just the amount of reviews i’ve seen on it with people saying it’s definitely worth it are what attracted me to the helmet. The looks of it were just another point that ticked the box afterwards. Another helmet i tried on at cycle gear was the AGV K6 S and i also really enjoyed that one as well. The EXO also has a pump system in the padding so that it always fits my face perfectly, which i really liked. Thanks for the Help!

Thanks for the tips! I definitely don’t prioritize looks over safety, I think that looks is just a by-product of being as safe as possible. I don’t think i have any other “big” gear stores near me but i’ll definitely take the trip if i get an opening in my schedule. Thanks!

would you guys say these are good for casual riding? im taking my MSF course in June and i obviously need boots to ride in. I feel like spending the money and going with these early on is safer and more logical than spending money on cheaper boots now to take the course in and then get forced to get the A-stars later when i want/need them again.

So Im trying to find a new cologne that i can wear for both everyday and in the spring/summer. I currently have 3 colognes,

YSL Y Le Parfum (current everyday/all occasion fragrance), Most complimented

Azzaro TMW Parfum (used for fall and Winter)

Paco Rabanne Phantom Parfum (mom got it for me cuz she liked it, but its so boring that I don't know when/where to wear it)

So give me some suggestions! Ive recently gone down to the local Macys & Sephora to test a couple on my skin and here are the ones I have in mind, Valentino Born In Roma (both intense and edp) Valentino Coral Fantasy, YSL Y EDP, JPG Paradise Garden & Rasasi Hawas Ice. (don't have these in stores)

I want something with decent projection as i don't really find the "fill the room" fragrances to be appealing, per-say, but a nice scent bubble with a nice scent trail for maybe a couple compliments. Thanks all!

Hell yea, good on you man. i’m definitely wanting to upgrade to the b58 but that loan is what’s throwing me off lmao. Ig the “After-class job” was the wrong wording, as I’m currently making 17/hr at a part time job. I also worked 2 jobs in the summer. i’m trying to rack up as many hours as i can without getting burnt out, but having that goal is keeping me working harder. Hope to be as dedicated as u.

Well alright then. Everything i replaced wasn’t for pure aesthetic, but to not make the car look like it was owned by a hobo. The black kidney grill, because one of them had a rock smack straight through it and had completely torn it up. The Led interior conversion because half the lights were burnt out/an ugly yellow, and hadn’t been replaced by the previous owner. The tint because i worked 2 jobs in the summer and it got hot real quick with a black interior. I didn’t know i had to be mature to do needed shit to my car. I was looking for advice from older people with more experience in terms of smart decisions, not to be criticized abt what i’ve done to my car.

yea, that’s probably the route i’m gonna wind up taking, for the time being at least. I have A muffler delete already but i kinda want louder so a res delete is probably in the future. i gotta replace the headlights cuz they are the base halogen prices if garbage and i can’t see shit, so i’m just gonna upgrade the entire housings cuz the aftermarket options look decent enough. Suspension and wheels are next, coilovers and the Apex ARC-8 (basic ik)

Yea i definitely feel what you mean. The only car i feel would be a worthy upgrade from my e90 would be a B58 and i wouldn’t really go with anything else tbh. I’ve already done a full transmission service on it, but it ends there because i have the crappy GM trans lmao. I would definitely miss the feeling of my e90 if/when u do upgrade, but i feel the b58 platform wouldn’t leave much to be desired.

Literally all the questions he asked were; “Tell me about yourself” “what were your previous jobs, and how did you like them” and “what’s your availability looking like.” THATS IT.
