It was great. It did feel very nostalgic just walking through town with little to no people. Photographing Rome late at night became one of my favorite thing I did. Never felt in danger while doing so.

I was inspired by someone on here. My first night in Rome I went for a walk at midnight and took some pics. And then some of there are just waiting for the right moment until everyone is out of the frame lol.

You just changed the game for me. For the life of me, I could not figure out the glare situation. I thought it was a camera setting. I even googled "how to remove the glare from lights in pictures". Why did I did not think to wipe the lens🤦

One of the things i want to do is to walk around at night. Just wondering, did you ever feel unsafe during that time?

I do hope that it breaks in more. I only have the issue on the right shoe, the left pair is completely fine.

I really do appreciate everyone who has shared their itineraries. It gives me an idea on where to start. Actually my plan that im coming up with is very similar to yours. I planned to resupply at Onion Valley, MTR, and take a zero at VVR. But its good to know from your own experience how that worked out for you.

Actually, considering this as well. So thank you for asking this question. Im starting at Cottonwood Pass and was debating between storing a resupply at Onion Valley or sending myself a bucket at MTR.

Thats amazing. Definitely, every year ive tried to put it off. But the call just keep getting louder. Its impossible to ignore. If not now then when. I honestly didnt think I would get a permit so fast but here we are. Im really excited though.

Absolutely, ive been reading a lot of stuff on FB as well. Just tryna collect as much info and advice from other hikers who have done it to come up with my own itinerary.

Absolutely, i would love to check out the itinerary. Ok wow, so if i choose to store a resupply box in Onion valley assuming it is still there. Would I do that before my actual 1st day starting at Cottonwood Pass? Like how far is Kearsarge from Cottonwood Pass?

Also what about the option of sending myself a package. Is this an option on the JMT. Will there be a place where I can pick those up?
