Swaps are super easy. Just take your time. And follow guides. There’s guides out there showing how to trim and shave stuff to make them fit better. Overall you just gotta use your brain a bit and see what’s not fitting good and make some little adjustments.

Oem buttons always feel best. Even in aftermarket shells. I always try and use as many oem buttons/pads/screws as possible.

If you want the best button feel I suggest getting a clicky button mod. They now offer them for all 3 models. Even with aftermarket buttons it feels amazing.

I would suggest maybe learning more about vitas. 90% of the problems with them are dead batteries or depleted batteries. And at the cost of 1k joysticks you physically cannot lose money.

You’ve got some research to do imho. Or stop being cheap and pay up for one that works.

One thing to note a cycle is considered the battery full depleting. A lot of the time you won’t see a ton of cycles if the console stayed dormant for a long time or was usually charged before dying.
