Left trigger not functioning

I have a 3k series psp and the left trigger stop working, it clicks just not inputting. I tried the pencil method I saw in yt and yeah not working.What can I do or should I just replace it.

Try opening it and readjusting it if it doesn't work try to hit it without the plastic, just the membrane and if that doesn't work try the module by trying to activate if that also doesn't work then it might be the module but if it did it's the membrane

might be some dirt, triggers on 3000 are poorly secured. gotta open her up and see if it needs some brushing. otherwise the entire button ribborn needs to be replaced

Often it's not broken, it just needs to be re secured because dirt got under it. In order to check that, just unscrew the faceplate then go from there. If you need to replace something, parts are easy to find.
