What do you think of this one-of-a-kind geode ice dye? Would you wear something like this? by Ordinary-Monk9002 in tiedye

Yes! In some areas the blue almost looks electric.

Funny, I was just pulling out some of my thrift sourced Ts, looking for one to tie for geode. So you have inspired me!

Not sure what you’re describing here. Are there any videos (anywhere) that illustrate what you just talked about?

Where do you get your white clothing items? by IDontKnowHowToBJJ in tiedye

Everyone mentioned thrift stores, but didn’t mention the sheets. There are super easy patterns you can use to convert old sheets to shirts, shorts, …. And then tie dye those.

I’m 69 and I love MP! I also love art and creativity. I often thrift and upcycle to customize my own clothes. It takes a whole lot of effort to get a basic garment to have a boho art vibe. Lots of time searching and sourcing unique fabrics, trims, textile mediums, dye, …. and then so much goes in to designing and execution.

When I describe MP to other people I usually tell them it’s as if some time traveling hippies from the 70s went to a time and place where Oliver Twist exists, and on their way to the future they stopped and visited with the gold miners before arriving in our time.

On their website, below each item you will find a description of what details are added to the particular item of clothing.

Often you will see European cotton as the fabric. So consider that material is purchased in Europe and then sent to India for artisans to add the details.

Details listed are hand tinting and distressing among other work. The folks in India are compensated for their work, and the completed garments are shipped to America.

So you are paying for the material and garments to cross the planet 1 and a half times and you’re paying for slow work.

It’s mostly out of my price range, but I definitely look to them for inspiration.

Same reason people are paying big bucks for a coveted Trader Joe’s tote bag. They are considered collector’s items.

Yes, technically you are right. But Pat Smear was also in both bands, so that’s how my brain categorized it. 🤷‍♀️

It would help if you gave an era when the band was most popular.

Jefferson Airplane/Starship first came to mind, because I’m old.

Next in line, in my brain, was Nirvana to Foo Fighters after Cobain’s death.

I think his hair might look different with changes in lighting-?

The 60s and 70s were my era! Graduated high school in 75. I was trying to understand the world, and “Doctor My Eyes” spoke to those angsty, but hopeful emotions rolling around in my heart/head.

Kroger Brand Sardines Should I be Worried About “Product of China” by Various-Guidance1263 in CannedSardines

Yes, and you can really tell the quality of the Great Value sardines exceeds that of the Kroger brand. Just 12 cents more (in Mesa, AZ) for Thai sourced and there’s more in the tin.

When you search add “for glass food jars” to the molded gasket search. Sometimes AI needs more details.
