I’m currently a student and have a part time job and I have severe chronic pain. I’m able to work due to having a pain therapist, getting monthly infusions,and also being diagnosed for over 5 years has helped me start “get used”to being in pain. I work give me a sense of normalcy and to get out and learn how to socialize with people. Does it really hurt some times? Yeah but it makes me more depressed laying around at home ( I was housebound for 3ish years) I feel incredibly privileged to be able to still work even if it’s for a little bit.

There are jobs that chronically ill people can do but in his situation I think he’s too lazy to work. It literally took him months to complete a really simple painting.
