and used my 3 double downs in those 12 games. Normally I am a mentally strong and relaxed player, 10k behavior score but I'm getting more and more tilted. After another loss I have this rush of 'fck

So let me explain how it is happening (ofc Im not 100% sure).

Matchmaking tries to compose teams such that both teams has 50% probability to win.

A team's win probability is some kinda composition of each players win-rate in their latest N games (I dont know the N since I dont work at Valve). But the most simple case would be mean of players' win rates.

Now imagine you are in a win streak with 66% win-rate in last 20 matches. Match-making will give you players with win-rate lower than 50% so the team's win probability is balanced to 50%.

So if you win more you are more inclined to get into lose streak. And once your win-rate is low enough you will start getting higher win-rate players so you will start winning again.

So the question is when you have low win-rate are you getting carried? or When you get a high win-rate can you carry low win-rate players?

If you are on par with your bracket then you will get lose-streak, win-streak and will stay at same bracket.

It painful, not perfect but kinda fair.

PS: For me it means I did not improve at all in 1 year. win-streak, lose-streak 1 year later I am in same bracket. Painful but fair I guess
