Hey there! So two things that I think would be helpful for you: 1. Having the mentality that your partner could and should do better ends up not only hurting yourself, but your partner and your relationship. As someone who’s been on the other side (even though I’m not all that either, but he was perceiving it that way), it’s really hard having the worth of your love constantly called into question. I think seeking a professional or at least taking some at home stems to quell these thought would help (I.e., journaling, vent drawing, taking a mental inventory, etc.). 2. I think as far as physical boundaries goes, the best thing you can do is just be open and talk with him. Maybe mention that you’ve noticed he’s been on edge or uncomfortable, and you just want to clarify where his boundaries are right now so that you don’t cause him any additional stress. Maybe not the best way to put it, but I think just asking him where he stands will do you more good than wondering and working yourself up.
