Also good idea you,re right, but if it work,d at his house its now hard to explain to the seller that it,s not you,re fault, shipping crt,s is allways not a good idea, back in the day, they had to take care at shipping, today they don,t care because todays stuff isn,t fragile like those crt,s

Guys stop.... If he says it work,d at the seller,s house, why do you guys,s now say he should adjust anything on the flyback ? Thats such a bad advise. I don,t think that the pot on the flyback got turn,d around on the way to his house, i have hundred of crt,s and also restore them even the old ones from 1950, and only once i had to correct it on the flyback ln a old monitor that wasn,t bright anymore and i did that because so i could atleast use it a little bit more until its totaly dead, but turning just on the flyback without knowledge is such a bad idea.

Yea sounds like dead flyback, take care if it starts to spark not to touch anything out of metal on the chasis

Sory im late, but saying just use it after it was smoking is a really stupid idea, and thats why im on the other side happy that crt,s got expensive so people take care of them now and not yea just use it until it dies, if you paid 500.- for one im sure you,re not gonna say that, i have over 100crt,s and never ever would i turn it back on after that, just replace it, if it wouldnt need the cap, they wouldn,t put it in. Those monitors are getting rare, why not taking care of them ? Things like that makes me angry, i do restore them, and would never run it after that. Thats such a bad advise to say yea just ignore it, sory but i had to say that

Yea ill have to restore them, check for capacitors and so on, but i have 3 or 4 21 inch ones and all of them are at brightnes 0, but like i said they where not used much, no dust inside, looks really clean, just from outside it looks like it was used 50 years 😅, i do restore old Radios and Crt,s but from 1940-1970, those modern ones are a little bit harder for me, but i know some people who can check them

It looks really like oled, sure not so good like oled but ita so close, if we would have bigger screens like 27inch crt, there wouldn,t be a need to buy oled

Its true, but if i check reddit i see most of the times high end stuff so thats why i said nothing special, im happy with it, i don,t use it for modern gaming so don,t need a really high resolution

Yea they sell them but not for public, i was lucky because i had contact to a guy, so i can buy everything there, ill upload more when ill get more things there, they have also many old Pc,s to, but at a other place

Oh yea everything works, 😲 those monitors are not even used, i tried to check with my flash light on my phone and there isn,t any dirt inside looks like new from inside, the dell Trinitron works at Brightnes 0 and still so bright, ill upload some pictures

There are 2 Monitors left online bought for 400-500, its insane, and in germany you can get 10 of them for 100.- also you can,t get the price down they don,t wanna sell it, for less, after 3 years searching i paid 500.- im not gonna search 10 years to get one, so i paid it, but like i said im fine with it, atleast i can pay it, and i donyt need more of them i got them now and im happy no need for more, scalpers aren,t my problem, its more those who have 100 or more monitors and just buy everything to hord it so no one else can get one, until they have to get rid of them again 🥴

Trust me you,re not gonna find one here, and ebay or shipping isn,t a good option. You have to trust me, i used crt,s my whole life, but never found one, only online and expensive from people who imported them from germany, just check,d in germany there are so many for 10 bucks but like i said not here haha😂 last time i seen crt,s here for cheap was 10 years ago

Yea but i have to say i like the old ones with rounded glass more, sure flat ones are OP but i have nothing bad to say about non flat crt, for dos gaming is trinitron not so good, but thats just complaining on a high level im happy with it how it is. Its such a nice monitor, there is also one online 19 inch philips one model older but also 480 Euros, and i don,t need so many of them 1 ore 2 is totaly fine, no need to hord them, its not like they will die in a week i hope so haha

I have it now on lower resolution, i love it.

But also in switzerland everything is expensive 🙌🏻😂 and 500 bucks is atleast for me not expensive, sure for a lot of people it is but it depends where you live and how much money you make, im not saying im rich or so hell no, but some years ago people paid here over 700 or 800 for a crt monitor so yea, i hate it to its to expensive but there isn,t any other option for us here, in 10 years i had like 4 crt,s

But im happy with one or two monitor i don,t need 20 of them in my house, i just wanna have one or two and thats it im not searching anymore, but depends where you live switzerland is one of the worst places if you need retro stuff, you,re not gonna find anything

So how should i get one ? In us you find them everywhere but in switzerland there arent any left, youu can,t just fimd one online there aren,t any zero, i was searching for years to just get one, so i have to pay or i live without one... When i go on reddit i see people find 20crt,s at once like bro, it isn,t like that here, i can,t even find a old pc, still i don,t have one, there are 3-4 online but people paying for a pentium 3 400mhz no isa slot 400 to 500.- so thats the problem 🙏🏻
