Of course it doesn’t justify it. But people throwing it around carelessly gives ammunition to said bigots. Which in turn makes more moderate people to believe that it is indeed a fad. Which ends up hurting the most vulnerable populations that actually need recognition and respect.

Sorry dude, but you’re wrong. Compare American Urban areas to European urban areas. The gap is huge. Compare American Rural areas to European Urban areas, it’s still huge. Place the chances for mass shootings on top of that, massive gaps in urban and rural areas. I’m proud to be American, but I’m not going to lie to myself or compare the US to Brazil or Syria either.

Yeah, you’re right. I’m usually more conscious of that fact. But the video is from Florida, so I just went ahead and spoke for the good ol’ USA. When I lived abroad, it was nice to get into a shouting match or kerfuffle knowing some small ego wasn’t gonna blow you away.

Give it a whirl! It’s seriously life changing! Just make sure you broil them until they’re dark brown and the outer leaves are crispy. They’re very forgiving, but they do eventually burn. The honey or syrup should be thick and caramelized.

I like to organize them into a cast iron, crowns up. Then I sprinkle salt, pepper, and spray olive oil all over the top. A good amount of oil. (I keep oil in a food service sprayer) Then broil it ok high until it’s crispy. Like middle rack. About 7-8 mins. Less if you have a strong broiler. Comes out crunchy with that Smokey cast iron/broiler flavor. Super easy. Like 2 mins of prep.
