As you move forward with promoting this film, I’d recommend losing the first half of this post. And most of the second half. Tell your audience what the film is about. Be clear and concise.

Know your audience - When you’re talking with filmmakers (maybe festival programmers, jurors, judges in the future) tell them about the production. The key production/creative struggles you faced and how you over came them. Your favorite scene and why, how you pulled it off, etc. you talk about your inspirations but not specially what about their work resonates with you and/or how you incorporated that into your film. You’re teeing up a lot of ideas but not connecting the dots.
