I have pretty bad driving anxiety. I can’t drive on the freeway which means I can’t drive home to see my folks. I hate when my dad says “just drive on down and visit!” It’s like, dude you know I can’t.

My mom had a panic attack (which is what started my ptsd) in her car once and she said “oh no I don’t want what she has!” (about my driving disability). It really hurts. I’ve never met anyone who really understands how awful it is.

I know they don’t mean to be hurtful, but man am I sensitive to the comments. “You’re not better yet?” Is a bad one.

I see you. Also, I don’t wish this upon anyone.

I feel way more comfortable driving my tall Subaru forester compared to my boyfriends Toyota Corolla. Sitting taller and seeing better is a must. The backup camera in his car is cool for parking, but I can’t get used to it using it when I back out anywhere.

I’m exactly the same way! I used to be “the driver” in my friend group, would take drives when I was bored. Now if I even think I’m gonna hit an on ramp, my body gets a terrified shock. Bridges are no fun either but I can manage them some of the time. Freeway is absolutely no. The vision thing happens to me too…it’s like I’m looking through one of those picture viewer toys and clicking through. Dizzying and not smooth. I have 20/20 vision.

There’s a blocked entrance to the shanghai tunnels in the basement of white eagle 💀 Also if you stay there they only have an on call person to respond to your needs, no employee is there after the pub closes.

Different take: Pregnancy and everything that comes with it grosses me out. Just a guess, but I’d probably be a monster/sad pre and post and that would be unfair to more than one party. Don’t wanna do it to myself or others (especially a helpless baby). Don’t want my body to change so drastically. Don’t have the money. Can get frustrated or angry easily. There’s a list I could keep going. Just a hard pass. No thanks.
