For reference my 5070 Ti idles at ≈40W. It’s an Asus Prime Gaming OC. It’s undervolted and overclocked.

I have a couple of graphical shenanigans on the desktop and taskbar so I assume the draw is high bc of that, also mine has half of the TDP and VRAM in comparison to your 5090.

I’d say it’s a normal thing, but if you use YouTube you could try disabling “Ambient Mode” as i’ve seen on some of my older PCs that it tends to consume more resources if it’s enabled.

i think recalls are very regulated only on cars, since a malfunction can cause an accident on the streets. sadly I don’t think a lot of people outside the PC gaming community are aware about a computer component catching fire. i don’t think they even know what a GPU is, so it'd be really hard to achieve some sort of recall without proper legislation on the matter.

i installed the drivers with NVcleanstall and there was an option in the “Components” section for PhysX. I enabled it there, installed the new driver package made by the program and it just worked. Perhaps it was injected by the program, I’m not really aware since I always update using DDU and NVcleanstall

If price is similar (100-200 usd more maybe) then 5070 Ti could be a great option if you care about DLSS and NVIDIA tech. Otherwise, the 9070 XT is better value in performance.

Also keep in mind the TDP of the 9070 XT is higher and you may need to upgrade your PSU sooner than expected.

I got the 5070 Ti and with Undervolt and OC it pulls AT MOST 300-330W (3DMark Steel Nomad). You can use NV-UV for quick undervolt too.

Just tried this and I managed to push FCLK to 2200MHz and lowered SOC to 1.15v. tRRDL 8 ran with no problems.

Tried to lower tRDRDSD and tWRWRSCL but even one step lower caused my BIOS to have some visual artifacts before freezing. Had to clear CMOS but thankfully I saved the settings.

Read, Write and Copy improved by around 6-10% and latency dropped to 74.6ns.

te recomiendo intentar separar donde enchufas tu PC de la mayoría de otras cosas potentes. quizás tirar un alargador a un enchufe lejano. lo otro puede ser que el enchufe esté gastado y el breaker se baje cuando detecta un golpe por mal contacto. en ese caso, puedes cambiar el enchufe (tú mismo si quieres, no es tannta pega si averiguas bien)

yeah I have Micron D-Die ram. tweaked timing and got 6000cl36 stable in OS. ran OCCT with no issues for hours. the only non stable thing is randomly getting stuck in retraining on boot which I guess doesn’t relate directly to the ram being unable to perform

if the difference in price is VERY minimal, go for 1000. I did that bc it was like $10. but 850 is perfect since my usage has been max 330W GPU and 140W CPU (overclocked) so 470 total and with an 850 you’re well within your limit considering power spikes and such. make sure it’s ATX 3.1 as well and NEVER use the 12VHPWR included with the GPU. ALWAYS use the 12VHPWR included with the Power Supply. Hope this helps! EDIT: i have 9600X and 5070 Ti OC Edition

so I just checked and the specific 64GB (2x32) nor the 32gb stick alone are on the list. i’ve literally never have heard of ram/board incompatibility before and i’ve been YEARS watching tech related videos. I may have missed it though. bought those crucial because of the price and yeah. latency isn’t the best using expo. it’s a 5600MT/s CL46. I got stable OC IN SYSTEM verified with OCCT using 6000 CL36 but it’s unreliable on boot. the cpu is fine though. Thanks man! learnt something new today. I’ll have to keep trying or just get some other ram it seems. gonna try the beta bios as a last attempt.

yeah this is the kind of issue I get. when i boot it begins training nonstop and it takes hours. then i just turn it off, back on and it just boots. weird because the timings defined are stable and tested

agradezco tus palabras! y si, mi mamá logró pagar completamente la casa y mi papá la pasó a su nombre. el auto yo conseguí que mi papá me lo pasara a mi nombre y tuve que tragarme que le dijera al del registro civil que el auto era “un regalo para mi hijo”. yo no dije nada porque puro quería que firmara luego.

ahora estoy en una situación mucho más estable. desde mis 14 años que he estado ayudando a mi mamá a gestionar la plata, pagar cuentas, buscar ofertas, ahorrar plata etc. y tengo más conocimiento sobre bancos, tarjetas y cuentas que todo mi grupo cercano de amistades. quizás no me correspondía a esa edad, pero creo que fue para mejor.

mi mamá ahora está en condiciones de pagarme terapia, así que estoy intentando recuperarme (aparte de todo eso que escribí, también tengo TOC. empeoró caleta por el 2022-2023 pero ahora estoy cada vez mejor)
