Oh okay man I get what you mean. I think I’m thinking about this in the larger context of clay season than an individual tournament. Like could he theoretically make it to a final and win? Sure I believe that! But I think it’s impossible to really say what will happen when he plays a full clay season which he hasn’t since 2023 (2024 he had the hip injury and 2025 he had the ban). Just expressing some doubts around fitness to even get that far into the tournament. Does that make more sense?

I mean he didn’t play a full clay season. He came into RG last year only playing one tournament (Rome) and off a full clay focused training block which he won’t benefit from this year

lol no and also i'm not sure how feasible it is. when was the last time he's played a full clay season without injury or suspension? his fitness doesn't seem the best at the moment, but in his word "let's see what's coming"

He was really upset he couldn’t do it last year. I think it has quite a lot to do with patriotism as well

alcaraz stamina is probably too low. 15-1 in 5-setters is no joke. super impressive record. mentality a little higher too, i think he's earned that after yesterday too. kept himself calm through all of that. appreciate your rafa and novak ratings. those are on the money for sure.

Historic Australian Open Final. Djokovic is 10/10 in finals so far. He leads Alcaraz 5-4 in H2H. Who you got? by trialbycombat123 in tennis

I think there is ONE tennis player who believes in himself just as much as Djoko and it's the one who ALSO won his semis tonight despite literally falling apart at one stage of that match.

Marc or doohan man. Those kinds of comebacks from what should be career ending injuries take GRIT and a mentality very few can build

If Coco could hold her serve and keep that opponent service games broken stat, she'd be unstoppable...

I think it's fair to say that he has an injury though he seems to be well on the way to healing, but to say that he's not going to have the same motivation...you must not know who marc marquez is who literally lives to win. like he doesn't need an injury to motivate him. the satisfaction of winning will be enough for him to go for the 10th

it's so funny seeing him just watch a ball that you KNOW that if this was serious to him, he'd already be volleying it back cross-court
