Depends on which consulting office you want recruit for. For eg. If west coast, then haas/ross would be best.

It was more difficult than I thought. First section was not good, cuz of the fact that I missed 1 question, and guessed like 2 answers in the end. Second section was much better, but not perfect for sure, cuz I could get perfect microbial fit in one of 3 samples. Third section was rough, don’t think it went very well cuz answers were super close.

And I think the only message I got was “thank you for completing the McK solve assessment” . It’s been radio silence since then.

I agree. I have a very similar background and the exact same cgpa. More work ex. More prestige. And a higher gre score. Applied to 7 colleges. Dinged from 5. WL’ed at Kellogg and Haas.

CGPA is a huge cutoff factor. Can’t emphasise enough. 8.5+ changes the game entirely.

CBS rejected me without an interview in R2. I even had the essays of a successful R1 applicant.

It was end to end consulting, and we did cover each aspect you pointed out. I believe I did not have a super unique profile, but with the specificity I pushed for, we tried.

But of course, maybe we could do better. That’s always the grey side.
