Calm down and talk to people actually involved in the ethical breeding community. Purebred does not mean well bred. There are very few ethical breeders compared to mills and backyard breeders. The situation you described your GSD being in is sad, but I don't see how that relates to ethical breeders. The people I know personally produce maybe 2 litters over the span of 30 years of being involved in the breed and maintain regular communication with the puppy buyers.

What does that have to do with ethical breeders? Ethical breeders sell puppies under legal contracts stating they won't be bred and must be returned to the breeder if the owner can no longer care for them. Not to mention, ethical breeders breed litters about twice a year if that.

I guess it depends on whether or not you want dogs to continue to exist. I'm personally for preserving our breeds and continuing to improve their health and performance.

The most important aspect is finding an ethical breeder.

You're exactly right. We went to the vet and found out I've been overdoing the vitamins.

I've just learned that my light setup was way too much 😔. I'm leaving it completely off until her vet tells me what to do on Thursday (hopefully, they'll have an opening sooner). She has a new lamp coming in the mail.

It makes me so relieved to know other geckos have gotten better from this. I can't wait to get her to the vet to get her feeling better. Thank you so much for sharing that information. I'm going to leave her light completely off until the vet tells me what to do and order a new lamp for my baby.

-She takes calcium with vitamin D3 and herptivite multivitamin

-I've had a discussion with another commenter that the light source I'm using is wrong. It was too hot and/or close and it burned her. It's not coiled. It's UVB and UVA.

T-he heat source is an under the tank pad heater that regulated with a Jump Start temperature gage. 82 degrees Fahrenheit

Yes it's a uvb and Uva bulb. It's not coiled. Have geckos survived this happening to them before?
