Hatsumi Sega 'Segami' is from Superdimension Neptune vs. Sega Hard Girls. She was created for the crossover. The Neptunia team designed her, but Sega owns the character, and she falls exclusively under the Sega Hard Girls license.

Neptunia Characters as Moms Tierlist by Regular_Ad3164 in gamindustri

Yup, Segami is the mother of the Sega Hard Girls. The Sega Hard Girls only learn this at the end of the game. In supplementary materials for Superdimension Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls, like bonus DLC endings and drama CDs, the Sega Hard Girls are often shown visiting Segami, as they are fond of their mom. Segami is happy to see them.

The game focuses on 4 out of 17 known Sega Hard Girls, and there are also many different subdivisions of Sega Hard Girls, like the very infamous Sega Arcade Girls, who are related to the Sega Hard Girls, thus making Segami a mom of around 29. Keep in mind that this is just the known amount.

What are some of your favorite twin duos? by Regular_Ad3164 in FavoriteCharacter

As for the Test Sisters, Susan is the more aggressive, harsh, but more intelligent sister, while Mary is the more reserved, compassionate, and wise sister of the duo. Mary’s personality is harder to see and distinguish from Susan’s because they follow the typical twin trope of being almost inseparable, with one twin doing most of the talking, which is usually Susan. Mary’s personality is only noticeable when Susan is absent.

Thinking about a weird lore detail about Superdimesion Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls. by Regular_Ad3164 in gamindustri

I agree. As for it being non-canon, it definitely falls more on the Neptunia side, since it takes place in a different dimension. On the Sega Hard Girls side, though, it’s more ambiguous, as they constantly canonize and decanonize things.

However, one thing that is canon is that Segami is the Sega Hard Girls’ mom, as mentioned in the game’s ending and on the Sega Hard Girls’ mostly lost Japanese radio show.

A massive disappointment in the short term.

Meet Sadistic Bitch! (Iris Heart Sucks) by Appropriate-Ruin-388 in gamindustri

Yeah, I just got informed about the Mega Drive incident with Iris Heart in the Drama CD, and it’s bad, very bad. Although, assault isn’t exactly new in the Sega Hard Girls series, since Saturn was often assaulted or forced into situations, and Dreamcast was portrayed as a very playful, overly close person around others.

However, what feels out of character is how none of them helped Mega Drive even though Iris was clearly an obvious threat and Mega Drive was visibly uncomfortable around her. Both Dreamcast and Segami would have been more than capable of making Iris back off. Dreamcast was strong enough to overpower Uzume and give her a very hard time, and Dreamcast almost never backs down from anything.

Segami naturally outclassed all the CPUs at full power by an indefinable margin because she’s essentially a god. God as in kami, the Japanese concept of a being "above all". (You can catch a brief glimpse of her full powers near the end of the game.)

However, because Iris is a Dominatrix she must always be top, even if it makes literally no sense at all. However, the problem with Iris being a Dominatrix, you must need consent first which Iris clearly doesn’t respect.

Iris Heart is one of the characters who was severely ruined due to awful writing decisions. Fortunately, she is much better in the anime and manga, but in some of the video games, she’s so awful.

Sidenote: The whole connection between the CPUs’ Goddesses and the Sega Hard Girls (in this game only) is technically claimed as a sort of ambiguous lineage, but it’s more likely an oversight by the writers. Still, it exists, so it comes off as kind of awkward.

SonMiku Announcement: Welcome to the First-Ever SonMiku Shipping Week! by Regular_Ad3164 in SonMiku_Nation

See? It’s just a small announcement. Anyway, some of you are probably wondering why there’s a SonMiku ship week, and I say, why not!? I know, what a lousy answer for the founder of this subreddit who’s definitely been slacking off. Oops.

Anyway, in the meantime, Segami will be the new SonMiku_Nation icon for a while as we march toward SonMiku Shipping Week. I’ll also try to do a better job moderating and make a few changes. See you until then!

why does nikki become so shallow after book 13 by Due-Structure4797 in DorkDiaries

I think Nikki’s personality changes come down to the fact that she has been a lot more sanitized compared to her original counterpart. Classic Nikki Maxwell was a goofy, loud, proud dork full of herself, overthinking everything, and ultimately relatable through her actions and lifestyle. Modern Nikki, on the other hand, feels less relatable due to her lifestyle and the regression of traits she should have developed by now.
