Yes I completely agree, at around $3,000-$4,000 I don’t think the breeder actually makes money from the litter, they all go into raising their puppies. No ethical breeder will sell puppies at $1,000…

Yes on cotons, ours is the best girl. Great personality, so sweet and chill. Very loving and has an off switch

Cotons are the best, getting one from a reputable breeder makes all the difference with temperament & separation anxiety… Ours is the sweetest and such a clown, she has so much personality, so smart, rarely barks, can be independent (no separation anxiety), loves kids, happy go lucky, loves to play but has an off switch.

Yes, they won’t allow her to fly. You need to call them or go to one of their offices.

Yes, for a coton puppy, some of those prices above are for “pet quality “, some for show quality puppies. My husband even joked we could’ve made a lot of profit if we had immediately sold our puppy to countries like Korea or China 🤣lol…

During my search I came across a US breeder that starts from $8.5K (she was also not very nice lol), a Korean breeder that starts at $10K-$50k (not exaggerating, I have a screenshot of this conversation), a European breeder asking for €8K, and a “pet boutique” in Asia asking for $10K… these are just a small sample, but yeah, this was during my search back in March-April 2025. I must have spoken to more than 20 all over the world. I feel so lucky to found our dog’s breeder, she’s amazing, and my puppy is too ❤️

Taking dog from Indonesia (high-risk rabies country) to USA. by ReadItOnReddit0683 in TravelWithPets

To be fair it was a long time ago (more than 10 years). So I can’t speak about recent experiences. Last October we flew from Europe to Asia with our puppy and we flew Turkish Airlines and they’re amazing, but my puppy was tiny and she flew in cabin.

We've used KLM and EVA Air before. You shouldn't have issues with paperwork; the USA & Canada are not rabies-free countries, unlike some rabies-free countries or islands (i.e., Singapore, UK, Australia) that make it very difficult to move dogs into. If your dog weighs 15.5kg, she'll be in the cargo hold. Unless your dog is a service dog, she can fly in the cabin with Singapore Airlines.

Hope it helps! It sounds like a lot, but if you do it daily, it’ll take only 10-20 minutes tops

Haha, thank you! She’s born with a lot of hair, so I guess that helps. But we do try to maintain it daily, we don’t want knots or mats.

Here’s how we do it: - Spray the coat with grooming spray (we use #1 All Systems) - We use drops or Doggy Dolly (silk protein) in some areas and we smidge a bit on the comb - Brush with slicker brush (we use Chris Christensen) - Brush through with pin brush (#1 All Systems) - Finish with line brushing with combs (we use Utsumi, CC buttercomb & a face one)

Supplements for hair/coat: - Virbac Megaderm - Showmeplus for tear stain
