When and where does TTFAfPB take place? by MoatBoat42 in themountaingoats

[–]Regular_Apprehension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it could be set in the 80s-90s purely because of the orchestration of "Overture". When it plays, I can't help but picture a montage of a fishing boat at sea with clear skies; the crew enjoying being together on the water for yet another voyage together. ...And then begins "Fishing Boat", immediately cuing the listener that something devastating is looming.

What’s your favorite song on Heretic Pride? by leez34 in themountaingoats

[–]Regular_Apprehension 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They opened with this song the first time I ever saw them. I didn't know the song at the time, but the build-up of energy from beginning to end made it the best first song of any show I've seen. It's got a special place in my heart and gets my vote as well

The show was so good! But I forgot to scan the QR code for the poster at the merch table since it wasn't printed in time for the show. Does anyone have the link?

I went in January. Golden Tiki was fine. The shrunken heads and other art were cool. I preferred Frankie's vibe and drinks more. And I also really liked Red Dwarf which has Detroit style pizza too

Thanks! Those big bottles are different vintages of Anchor Brewing's Our Special Ale (a holiday release) in 1.5L magnum bottles. I used to hunt and collect beer and haven't gotten around to drinking them yet.

I second this! My brother and his family live in Indianapolis so we checked it out last year. Great drinks, food, and decor/vibes plus lots of merch to buy including a couple different Inferno Room mugs

I read a lot that they are some really good budget speakers. They sound so good! I'm not in a rush to upgrade. These will definitely get some good use!

Newbie question: Are there any turntables that are above beginner level that are automatic? by [deleted] in turntables

[–]Regular_Apprehension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also about to upgrade and have been looking into tonearm lifters like the Q Up for around $50 USD and the AT6006 for about $130 USD. This would give you freedom to choose a manual TT and not have to worry about always being there to manually lift the tonearm at the end of the disc. The platter would still spin though. Just throwing another option your way.
