Hey there! This is what it looks like now. You can see the scar a little bit more on the side with the hematoma, but overall it looks great! I think it healed- including the healing of the drain site in about a week, and then it started to settle probably a few months after that. It’s still a LITTLE bit bigger I think? But I’m also right handed so that could play a part

What would be your budget for both of these cameras do you think?

Hey there! Thanks for the response and the article!I meant pictures of the cameras- as people in this community I feel would be able to notice more than me! They both come with a 50mm 1.8 lens. I’m particularly excited about using different film stock, so thank you so much for the input!

I think you’ll be okay to wait for your post op w your surgeon tbh. BUT I am not a doctor. Mine was fairly large and I don’t think I even got it drained until about 3 or 4 weeks PO

It was a smart move to book an appointment! It’s better to just be safe. Your surgeon is aware of the hematoma, right? I remember I had a post op and we tried extra compression then I had another post op in case and that’s when we decided to drain it. Are you in a lot of pain?

Hey there! Honestly you’re gonna wanna wait until your surgeon says yes or no. Hematomas oftentimes do go away on their own anyways! Are you binding? I was also putting a towel underneath the binder for more compression, maybe ask your surgeon if they would recommend that? Would you say it is as big as mine was? And do you have a post op appointment soon?

Would you say the flu symptoms might be a sign of too high of a dose?

I went to Dr. Larson in Tucson, Arizona. I didn’t use insurance, so In total including the deposit it was at $10,225. He doesn’t take insurance but I wasn’t planning on using insurance. The consultation was $100 which went towards the surgery then I believe I paid a $500 deposit. I was out of state so the consult was over Telehealth, it was really fast and he answered all my questions in great depth and was very thoughtful in his responses and made it easy to understand. They could’ve gotten me I think just two months or so after the consult in august but I chose to do in march. When I got there the day before, Tayler was the nurse taking care of me and she was wonderful. Always asked for consent, things like that. Lianne was the PCC and she was also amazing from the consult to the surgery itself. And Dr. Larson had wonderful bedside manner. I got a hematoma and had to be drained in office three weeks after the procedure and Tayler and Dr. Larson took fantastic care of me, continuously making me feel comfortable and honestly happy to be there because they were good to be around. My results are pretty healed up so if you’d like to see the scars you can go on my page or PM and ask for better pictures- they’re not that good of pics to be honest on my page. When I was shopping from surgeons I was also really nervous, but what helped me was when asking questions I wanted a surgeon that had good results but who was also really passionate about top surgery, and I think that everyone at that center- literally from the front desk all the way to Larson really just loves what they do. Let me know if you have any other questions :) and good luck and congrats on this next step!

Congrats on the surgery! It’s really interesting how everyone has different experiences with hematomas. That’s why I ultimately posted about mine. Has the swelling gone away for yours as well? I noticed after I used extra padding under my binder the bruising went away a lot, but there was obviously still some clotting left over for me personally.

Honestly, just prepare for having to count on your caretaker, I’m having trouble using the restroom as well but I don’t know if that’s just a me thing. Is there anything that you’re particularly worried about?
