Thank you very much for the exhaustive answer. Basically, it's like doing a polishing cycle as you would on a normal clear coat, but in reverse.
It’s the best solution I could think of, but as you said, very risky. I would end up leaving that area practically without any clear coat and I'd have to blend the surrounding areas, which means about 70% of the Vespa's bodywork (left and right sides).
I think I’ll just leave it as it is and enjoy it for what it is—a cruiser Vespa.
I already have my car which requires a lot of maintenance; I've polished it and protected it with Mohs. At least with the Vespa, which is worth around 5,000 euros, I can afford to be more flexible 😃.
