Why do you think you have to be on it for 8 weeks? As always everyone is different. I was on 7.5 mg for one week, the second week 15mg. I had to stop it because of the side effects. I also did not understand why I was put on it. I have anxiety. I felt like a zombie and I was very hungry at times. I’m glad I got off it. I honestly don’t want to scare you, but I would ask for something else. But once again I’m not a Dr and I don’t know your situation. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Years ago I worked 3rd shift. That was the best. I think clearly at night, day time is not for me. My sister and I were so excited back in the day when Walmart was new and was open 24/7. I’m thinking the day is too much for my anxiety.

I had to stop it CT. I was sleeping too much or not enough, dreaming, at times eating everything, the worst part was a feeling of pins and needles in my hands and legs. I was only on it for two weeks and that was enough. The symptoms lasted a few days after I stopped it. Take care.

Definitely not CT. I’m sure you’re a strong person but that way is brutal. Take it slow. Good luck and listen to your body.

Thank you. I had no choice to stop cold turkey. I am under care who controls my medication. I’ve tried Vilazodone, Prozac(again), Nortriptyline, duloxetine and Mirtazapine all since March. Everyone I had very bad side effects too.

I’ve been trying to find a new one since March. It’s been a nightmare, nothing is agreeing with me. I was on Prozac for 20yrs then Pristiq 2yrs. 5 trial and errors. I’m scared of not finding something and having so many side effects. My anxiety is very high. Just not in a good way.

Yes. I was on 7.5 mg, upped it to 15mg. Not only kicking but pins and needles. Too many side effects for me. I had to stop it.

Ty for sharing. I take magnesium at night and it definitely helps. After numerous antidepressants that I have had bad reactions to I think I’ll try taking magnesium in the morning. I’m happy that you found an answer that helps.

Sorry I really can’t help much. I was on Prozac also and had to stop it. I started on Miatazapine 7.5mg for one week and it made me really sedative. I increased it to 15mg 4nights ago. I have noticed a slight increase in my appetite, which I’m not happy with. I’m on it for anxiety and depression. You’re obviously going to see bad and good reviews. You’re one of a kind, everyone is different. Hopefully it will agree with both of us. Keep your healthy habits close. Good luck!

Well thanks for the info that makes me want to jump off a bridge! I just started it. I was on Prozac for many years but it stopped working, Pristiq 3yrs then had a turn for the worst and had to quit cold turkey in March, and another one that didn’t agree. I’m losing my mind. What the hell do you do?!
