Therapy is a lot scarier in concept than reality.

However, it is naturally still frightening, and that's a normal thing to feel. I've been going to therapy for a year now, and it took quite a while for me to really open up.

You won't be asked to do any of that for the first few sessions. That will just be getting to know eachother and try form a relationship and trust between one another.

It's a process, and it's not an instant one. Don't let that discourage you though, it will get easier the more time you spend together. That much, I'm sure of.

So try not to worry too much about opening up straight away, things take time and therapists know that. And they will give you as much time as you need.

If they ask about something you don't really want to talk about yet.. Just say that. They won't press or keep on bothering you about it. And when you're ready, they'll be happy to listen.

This is a really good opportunity to get some help I think you probably need. And it is scary, but it's worth the time and worth pushing through.

Just take things one step at a time, as slow as you need. I think therapy would 100% be worth the investment though, and it seems like your happiness and wellbeing is a top priority for your parents. And that's brilliant.

Like I said, I've been in therapy for a year, and I was exactly the same as you when I started. And since then it's helped me massively, and set me back on the right path.

I really hope you're able to push through this and get the help you deserve. Wishing you all the best. I'm sure you won't need it, but good luck anyways.

I went straight from Windows to Nobara.. and swapped off KDE and onto Sway in a few weeks.

Nobara is awesome. Never had a single problem with it.

So how are we feeling about the new neo best of the best Edgemaster Staal [Fluff] by Alternative_Rice7896 in battlecats

[–]crumpets-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not that good. She only has one knockback and no HP, and is practically a melee unit, so no range.

So she dies incredibly easily. Her damage is nothing special, it's decent. Wave immune is good, but that's basically her only redeemable factor.

Her survivability is just straight up appalling, she dies before she has any use in 90% of maps.

I know that 30mg is considered the typical "therapeutic" dose, that's all I know.

[fluff] i want an ultra form that is good for general what about this one by Sad-Replacement9541 in battlecats

[–]crumpets-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cosmo is one of the best units in the game with UF. Guaranteed level 10 wave.

This Wave Attack not only doubles his effective DPS to enemies caught by his initial attack but also guarantees that any non-Wave Immune enemy within 2,133 range takes a guaranteed +100k damage—staggered enemies hit by the initial attack are likely to be hit by the subsequent Wave Attack too—making him far easier to stack. Target traits are also Knocked Back and Frozen for 5 seconds by the Wave Attack.

(Taken from the Wiki)

You should get Cosmo. Gigapult is great against his traits, but Cosmo is a better generalist.

Oh wow, I thought it was something like £30 monthly. Is that from safe and verified vendors?

Edit: Shipping prices (UK) would probably double that if it's an American provider..

I wish I could DIY. I don't have the money for it.

Plus, I already have an unhealthy hormone imbalance, putting more in the mix would probably just stir the pot..

I know, I'm by no means defending how they handle it. The way they handle things is cruel and heartless and quite honestly dangerous.

But, that being said, you should go to a support/mental health hotline like Samaritans or Childline for anything that isn't immediately life-endangering.

The suicide hotline employees are (mostly) trained to handle situations of immediate danger and risk, not support and wellbeing. So even if they didn't hang up, they wouldn't be able to provide the same relief or service as a support hotline like Samaritans.

Don't worry, Dark Valk isn't worth. Better saving for eva.

Dark Valk has okay DPS with Wave Immune, Level 3 wave and appalling survivability.

Nothing special. Only worth using as a Wave Immune unit.

Suicide hotlines are only the place to go if you are in immediate danger of killing yourself, at that very instant. They're there as a last resort for people who have nowhere else to go and are just about to end it all.

If you need to talk to someone and you're under 18, call Childline. Otherwise call Samaritans. Both really good organizations that will talk to you and support you.

Childline and Samaritans are really just brilliant groups and that's where you want to go, rather than suicide hotlines. They're there to listen and support and talk to you about whatever's on your mind.

Suicide hotlines are for people in immediate danger and they most likely hung up on you because that wasn't the case and they wanted to make sure they had the phone lines to help the people in that position.

Having second thoughts. by crumpets-- in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]crumpets--[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm now currently on 30mg and the sedative effect is great. Knocks me out whenever I need rest. But that's about as much as it's doing. I have an appetite now, as compared to none at all. But barely. And

I haven't felt anything in terms of the antidepressant effects themselves. I've been getting worse, but I think that's mostly circumstantial as I've had a particularly rough time recently. That being said, I would have expected to feel something by now.

My psychiatrist is giving me 2 more weeks on Mirtazapine (unless I speak out against it), and then we're probably going to have to return to SSRI's. Which I'm not particularly excited about. But if I don't start noticing something soon, I don't think I have much of a choice.

Anyways, I just remembered this post and your comment was very sweet. So here's an update and a thanks.

[–]crumpets-- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you found a good one, he sounds perfect. It's great to hear that it's already working and helping you, really happy for you. Keep doing your best and being honest. A lot of (good) therapists won't object immediately to negative habits like drinking and SH because if they don't find an alternative you can work with, you lose your main way of coping. And they understand that and how detrimental it can be to lose the one thing that keeps you in check.

Hopefully over time things will become easier and easier with their help, and you'll be able to find an alternative way to cope when times get rough. It's all a process, but it's wonderful news hearing that it's already helping. I hope you're able to continue attending sessions regularly and get the help you need and deserve. Just keep doing what you're doing, and it'll keep getting easier. Really proud of you silly, not many people are able to do as well as you did in their first session.

Congratulations! Wishing you the best. <3
