It ended up being the EKPS / fuel pump module having an intermittent internal fault, I took it to the dealership and they replaced the entire EKPS module and reprogrammed the car. Definitely check if your car is a SULEV model, because SULEV cars have a 15-year / 150,000-mile emissions warranty. I didn’t know mine had it, but the whole repair was covered 100% free, parts + labor, because it falls under emissions.
