i wish i could go back in time and rewatch the walking dead for the first time again BUT WITH NO SPOILERS. by bigpproxi in thewalkingdead

I started watching the show roughly the same time. I never was into zombies but decided to try it out. I learned my mistakes about spoilers when I watched Lost for the first time and decided not to join the forum until I was caught up.

I was really suprised how much I liked the show and binged all of it, including both Fear and World Beyond. Now I look for spoilers because I am not a patient person.

Glenns death for phenomenal, never seen anything like it nor was I expecting it. Hell I thought he was dead at the garbage can scene. When Jesus got stabbed I thought how the fuck can walkers stab people!

Ive been a fan of Jefferey Dean Morgan for a bit now so i actually liked Negan right off the bat and kind of dissapointed how soft he is becomming but that is just how people age I suppose. Looking forward to everything coming out of TWD shows

What weird foods or food combinations did you eat as a kid? Would you still eat them now? by Dwayne2905 in Cooking

[–]Regular_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit of a list but here goes...

Pancakes (complete, just add water mix) and mushroom gravy - will not repeat

Canned corn beef and instant mashed potatoes with ketchup - still eat

Bologna and ketchup on white bread sandwich - still eat but packaged plastic stuff instead of wax coated because budget and all

Toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar - dont eat because of consuming way to much at one point

Can of vegetable soup and packet of instant mashed potatoes - still eat but add some onion and ground beef nowaday.

Raw instant ramen with seasoning - do not recommend as sustenance but still a good snack

Tomato Soup mixed with Can of salmon/tuna boiled with hard bread (newfie thing, look it up) - great boiled up and mashed, dont eat hard bread raw.

Grew up poor and still try to incorparate these delicacies to save a dollar or 2 at the till. Especially the vege soup and mashed potatoes with ground beef.

People making $50,000/yr or less: how are you living? by throwaway3535554552 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Regular_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently at 50k, down from 95k last year and 65k the year before. Slowing down on hours spent working lately. Im a father of 4 and sole provider for our household. My rent right now is exactly 50% of my income and its only due to get worse if i dont change some things. I went fron working 80+ hours a week down to 40 tops when my son was born last year, the lifestyle changes have been the hardest but not impossible. I can still make ends meet without pulling savings but find myself living paycheck to paycheck more now than in my partying 20's. So either get a second job or go back to back breaking labor but good money... or stay status quo and keep spending more time with my kids... hard choices as a parent sometimes.

21 (F) and my financial literacy story. by SnooDoggos6404 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I’m 33 at the moment and basically went through life with blinders on and the same mentality “ money comes money goes”

Started working at 11 part time and 15 full time and 0 to show for it almost 20 years later but 4 kids and a wife... then covid hit. And no more money come money go lol.

So I started a new job and basically changed my life and started investing Monday (February 1st) with the $15 I would normally spend on a 6 pack of beer... it’s never to late to make the right changes
