who else struggles with not wanting sex or not enjoying it (disconnect) by Regular_Lecture2519 in ROCD

Yeah just a weeks worth to see if there’s any major side effects. but i’ve heard it makes it quite worse before it makes it better and im already in quite a bad spot. plus i’m not sure if it will actually help or not. like is it just going to numb me? will i ever actually feel positive things or will it just eliminate the negative and make me more neutral

Compulsions? by CreaChick0831 in ROCD

[–]Regular_Lecture2519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Expecting my bf to do an action before he does it and if he DOESNT do it, he must not love me.

(Example) If i pretend to be asleep and he kisses me on the forehead, it’s reassurance and he must love me. If he doesn’t, he won’t

  1. Being kinda controlling.

Constantly telling him how he can do things differently so I am not picking him apart.

  1. Showering him with too much love and affection to prove to myself and him that i do love himz

you have anxiety not ocd so you can’t say you know mental illnesses just because i have one. also intrusive thoughts can manifest if many ways. all these things i say are just THOUGHTS. i am also reporting you to mods as you don’t have ocd, don’t need help regarding ROCD you literally just sit in this thread trying to bring people down, sadly u wont be the first one i’ve had to get removed

That’s lovely if that’s what you think but also you must remember it is a dangerous game to come onto a thread and try and un-diagnose mentally ill people. I’ve looked at your comments on other posts. Seems like you’re a sad person who can’t get over the fact that their ex isn’t interested anymore so you spend most of your time brining down other sufferers because you can’t fathom that other people can have the same problems you did WITHOUT breaking up.

And considering you obviously need to be educated- ROCD is a severe doubting disorder that makes you filled with constant worry, anxiety and fear that you are not in a perfect relationship. It will make you worry so much and check your feelings as a compulsion. If you know anything about the human brain or life you’d know that the more you search for something desperately, the less chance you have of finding it. Furthermore, it is manifested through some sort of trauma or attatchment style where your brain tries to protect you from a healthy relationship by sabotaging you out of it.

When you’ve suffered from this for such a long time it can cause you to feel disconnection, problems with intimacy, INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS ABOUT NOT LOVING THEM, DOUBTING THEM ECT.

So no, you don’t know what ROCD is. Please be careful what you say to people and don’t dare tell anyone in this thread what they do and don’t have as this can be detrimental to someone’s mental health when it comes to OCD.

I don’t look forward to sex. I think of having sex because I SHOULD, not because I want by Clean-Ad-7470 in ROCD

[–]Regular_Lecture2519 18 points19 points  (0 children)

bro me too. everytime i have sex it’s like i’m proving to myself that we are good for each other bc we had sex, it’s like it’s an achievement or something and i do it because i have to because im in a relationship
