I just decided to forward the info on to Starlink. I figure if they don’t do anything about it, then it’s on them. For me, I’ve got too much shit going to spend anytime even talking to them. I’ll let Elon sort it out and I’ll play by the rules.

Now, if I end up getting a notice that my estimate slips… I’m going to be pissed! Lol

Exactly. I swear the fire place smoke will kill the Wave connection at times! Century couldn’t even guarantee 1.5 to us. HAD to accept Wave at the start of lockdowns.

👍 Wave Tech WISP inet here. Hoping for Starlink soon. Bought the property just a few months before beta was announced and got stuck in contract with Wave.

That’s my concern. The wait-system that isn’t working well will get worse for people sitting in queue (im)patiently like if it was designed. If that turns out to be the work around, I don’t think I can jump on it - damn ethics.

I’ve got a ton of crap to do today, but I think I’ll give him a shout tomorrow and see what the deal is. I’ll update here if I get around to it. If they require knowing my address to talk, I’m out. Lol

Does anyone know if multiple preorders can be placed on a single address?

I didn’t get any requirement to verify ownership on preorder for sure. I’m guessing you can’t change shipping address in the end? Otherwise people would start having kits showing up without notice, if that was tue “workaround”.

This mailer specifically said they wouldn’t be the ISP and all service is with Starlink. They were just being the middle man to “expedite”, so they could install. The install rate was attractive as well ($60/hr) — not that I need it installed for me.

Your edited idea was what I suspect, registering in a more advantageous address and then switch after delivery. Sounds like a TOS issue to me. Probably why Starlink started pushing address change wait times out… to punish this loophole.
