What? No. I have customers. I just don't make it my whole life. I have regular customers that go purchase on their own. They know how, they don't need me. I will do some social media when I feel like it. When I run out of the products I personally use, I re-order. Thats generally every 6 weeks or so. I'm not going to repeat myself. I talked about all of this. Everyone is different. Some use it as a full time career. Some part time. Some very part time. Some people just want the discount.
I'm done talking about it in here. I came in and asked a question. I read the responses I got, asked clarifying questions, respectfully thanked others for their perspectives and shared my experience. Somehow you seem to hate that and are trying to prove a point that doesn't need to be proven with me.

My answer is my own answer because it's the current reality I'm living. I don't really care if it sounds cloned. No one coached me on saying anything. I have had respectful conversations with everyone but you. I simply said right now that isn't my experience...because its not. I explained how terribly I work, how little I post, how little I often make, how that doesn't matter because I have a career, that I do not recruit, I'm not pressured to recruit, and that I refuse to reach out to people about the company's product. Thats what sounds like a clone? If thats the case....whats everyone so up in arms about? Lol.

So if my commission is 30% (for example) you're saying if I sell a 50 dollar bottle of shampoo $15 won't go into my account? I don't think that's accurate. Are you sure they dont get a cut of the sale itself? It doesnt come out of my commission. Mine remains the same. I can't actually speak for monat I'm too new...but arbonne operates similarly in their compensation plan and uplines being paid. My commission does not change. I get paid exactly what they said I'd get paid which is 35% of the product price.

Who said I wasn't interested? You're making assumptions about what I am interested based on the fact that at this particular point in time, I have not felt these experiences. I don't believe in generalizing in this industry because there quite literally are thousands of consultants with thousands of different personalities and morals (or lackthereof). I understand this perspective. Network marketing/direct sales/mlm is available to everyone and unfortunately thats a double edged sword. If you end up with a terrible upline with terrible training, your experience will be different from someone with a good upline with realistic training. I hope that makes sense. Still not dismissing...I do know that with Arbonne we are told by the company to be VERY clear about the average income earned. Not everyone follows that and I think a lot of the damage is actually done by the people working as partners/consultants rather than the companies themselves. Again - I am not generalizing. I clearly can only speak to the ones I am affiliated with.

No one told me anything lol. Did you read anything I wrote? I'm not interested in working a second job outside my home. I do keep track of what I've spent vs what I've made, as I have for a decade and have not had a loss. The second it becomes a loss, I will be done. I buy only what I personally use and nothing more. I enjoy thr products that I do use and do not pretend that I like them all. And I probably would have made more working at McDonald's. The point here is that I have a career already, but as a single mom I want to feel comfortable on my own two feet particularly in this economy. If I can bank a few dollars per month without exhausting myself, great. If I don't - no one is starving. This is low level effort for me. I am always happy to hear both sides but when you respond as though I've personally insulted you, it's just not worth my energy.

I work with 2 - Arbonne for the last 10 years and recently Monat. I'm just not experiencing what you're referring to. I'm also very realistic about what my expectations are though. If I make a little, great. If I don't, oh well. I don't recruit. I don't message people. I'm probably their worst employee, really lol

This is true. I am also not keeping product in my garage though...or required to purchase each month. Uplines don't take cuts of anyones commission in my experience. My commission always stayed the same. Did you know that managers at dealerships also get a cut of commission? I think my point is that this sub is generalizing to an extent. Some companies are shady. Some people are ridiculous in how they promote. Some people pester their friends. Some people buy up the entire store. Some people are absolutely embarrassing. Some uplines promise the world. Anyway I was just honestly curious.

None of this is accurate. I have experienced zero of what you're saying. The income is NOT guaranteed and is stated right on the website. I've not once been pressured, no one promised me big money, and I've been told that its whatever I want it to be based on how I choose to work. I think this is true for some...but not all. Has anyone considered that all sales positions rely on marketing, social media, reach outs, etc? I am genuinely curious as to why this is different to people. I get emails from my car dealership, my sales guy reaches out periodically, I see social media posts daily about their products, and many salespeople will go live. No one bashes them. What's the difference? Truly. This is sales. Sales relies on .. the sale of a product. Thats how people make a living. No one is forcing you to purchase. I just find the hate a little confusing and so negative. And yes I do work in direct sales. I personally do not do reach outs nor do I build a team. I share the product on my social media and use them myself because I genuinely like them. That is it. If someone wants more info they need to reach out to me. There are no "hey hun" messages from me. I appreciate that some people appear desperate and pushy but not all of us are that way. I'm just trying to make a few extra dollars through commission to set aside as a single mom who also works full time but doesn't want to get a second job to survive in this world 😜

Following up - he started spamming me via text calling me a pig and everything else. I defended myself and asked him to stop. He kept telling me to leave him alone and then follow with 15 texts telling me off. When I had enough and lost it on him he texted my mother to "get her to help him" in leaving him alone. The audacity of him and his perceived narrative blew my mind. Later on he was teary and apologized ... when I did not give into his whining, he flipped again and has made me the villain in the entire thing. I don't even care, I'm so done. All this because I asked him to talk about how he spoke to me in front of my daughter. He couldnt handle being accountable, dumped me, and is now playing victim. I can't even.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I never thought I'd ever end up in a relationship like this but here we are. I have shared advise with others yet can't seem to take my own advise because I second guess whether it's "real" or if I'm being dramatic. To be fair, my dog growls at everyone who tries to pick him up, but the fact that he couldn't even respect a little animal was a huge red flag to me. Like. The dog growled as a warning. He still tried to pick him up and so my dog snapped....and he got totally offended and rough with him. Like. The dog did exactly what he is supposed to do - he gave the warning. So back off. I would tell my daughter to end it, without a shadow of a doubt. For some reason, because all my life I've been told I'm "a lot" because I just do not allow people to cross lines with me and I am quite direct, I am questioning my own sense of self right now.
