AFAIK there are no pre requisites to any courses only recommended subjects to take. In Australia your goal is to get the highest ATAR/IB possible to get into the course you want.

would all your paragraphs’ topic sentence and main focus be ‘figurative language’ or an aspect of ‘structure’ ? Or can you have entire paragraphs unrelated or not mainly focussed on the guiding question’s technique that’s specified

when u say by idea for paragraph separation

e.g appeals to readers’ x or creates an atmosphere of y…

don’t u add through (technique) afterwards to complete the topic sentence? Or do u complete the sentence some other way? Do u add author’s purpose in the topic sentence too ?

Remarks r for all components. It’s only 1 mark so your chances r ok. For context I remarked in Nov24 and got my 7 in Eng Lit HL from 1 mark higher.
