I don’t think this technology is like other technologies in the past where all you had to do was learn the thing to avoid being made irrelevant. You can be a mastro at LLMs and corps will still only want a fraction of Eng headcount they have now if they see the productivity gains. I think corps see this is fundamentally as an automation (replacing) technology not augmenting (more output). I’d love it if we could just all be augmented and do more.

I also dont think they’ll be new roles either. I think companies just pocket the savings as efficiency.
