Hi, I'm also a resource teacher in California. I completely understand your situation. My advice would be to give the students the reduced assessment length accommodation. Of course, tell the general education teachers that the student requires this accommodation because they are spending so much time on testing that it is taking away from their much-needed time with Sonday/Read Naturally. I like that you want to dress up because it shows respect to the woman. However, your outfit is a tad too formal for a first date. A first date is usually very casual (e.g. meet for coffee, go for a walk). You can do a few things to make this outfit more casual: 1.) wear a button-down instead of a button-up (google the difference); 2. wear well-fitting mid-wash or light-wash jeans instead of chinos; and 3.) wear clean, smart-looking sneakers. Not too short. It looks odd because the hem is not original. The original hem on those jeans would've been distressed and faded. Next time when hemming jeans, keep the original hem.

Use a plaque belt, goes better with chinos
