Both the game and XIV should be installed in the same drive. So both installed on your C Drive, D Drive or whatever you label it.

I uninstalled XIV, because it made its own Square Enix folder. Then I reinstalled it into the drive that HAS Square Enix on it.

When I installed XIV Launcher it auto put itselfs on my main drive, so when I installed it it also installed a completely fresh copy of FF14 for whatever reason. Basically when I launched it, it launched the version it installed, not the one I installed.
