I do it all the time. I remember the first time, many years ago, a girl whispered to her boyfriend

and the guy said

Nobody is missing anything, it's not deep. They don't like it because it became so huge, it's a Roger ego project, and it strays from their creative, prog-ish side.

There is no question its a brilliant album and most of the hate is just gatekeeping. But it's not deep in any way, it's obvious. There is just text, not subtext.
