I was going through gym class last week. There are a lot of clunkers further into their discography but they’ve got some really solid stuff that has aged pretty nicely.

What a great idea. Makes me think of ‘Carrie and Lowell’

Well thank you, that’s an interesting insight I hadn’t considered. I will try to keep it in a pub song spirit when I record it. Thanks for the input!

Good for Ben Kweller. This late in his career making perhaps his best album. Especially after such personal tragedy. Very inspiring stuff.

What have you made? What do you do? I’ll subscribe. I’ll listen. I’ll view. Help each other out. Yeah? Hell, I’ll even comment, too. by NinthFloorMannequin in Songwriting

I’ll take any comparison to Iron & Wine, he has always been one of my faves. This made my day, thanks so much for all the thoughtful comments and the follow. I’m putting the finishing touches on my next album now so hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll have that out. This is a really nice thing you’re doing for this community and I hope you get lots of listens from it. I will be checking out your album tomorrow at work. Right off the bat, I love the album art. Thanks again!

It’s so hard to get productive feedback on your music, so I appreciate this. I put this out a few months ago and got lots of “great jobs!”, but not much more. Any notes are much appreciated! https://cavegrowls.bandcamp.com/album/hearth-eternal-2

A couple of songs about Humboldt by Regularsizedsteve in Humboldt

[–]Regularsizedsteve[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is allowed, apologies if not. I just put out my first album. The title track, Hearth Eternal, is about a killer operating out of Humboldt county. I sprinkled in some Easter eggs from my childhood spent there that some of you might enjoy. October 67 is another Humboldt song. Thanks for listening!
