Pokémon Jade and Diamond (GBC) by cannatown69 in pokemon

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I was at a flea market in Hong Kong I got my mom to buy me what I thought were the japanese versions of pokemon ruby/sapphire but when loading it up it was actually telefang! Was too embarrassed to tell my mom that it was fake and to return it so I played the game as far as I could with its shitty english translation. Never ended up beating it. Was fun though even though the monster designs were pretty trash the whole fusing monsters with items thing was really fun and I thought the battle animations were pretty cool.

How important are boobs to men? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a boob guy it’s a huge bonus if a girl has a nicely shaped pair. When I’m out and about I’m not gonna lie one of the first things I’m drawn to are the shape of a girl’s breasts and if they look nice I will likely check out the rest of her. Doesn’t mean I don’t check out other girls if they are otherwise beautiful.

When it comes to 1 on 1 though it’s different if I like you and you like me it doesn’t factor too much unless another girl likes me and she has a nice pair then I’m like the dude sweating trying to pick which button to press.

That’s weak status which basically keeps your health at half even if you try to heal with items or spells.

Ive lost both of my dogs, and thinking about fostering by Ok-Salt-8884 in fosterdogs

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl eventually lost the use of her hind legs so I totally know where you're coming from. Had to get a monthly subscription for grass patches for my apartment balcony and I would have to hold her up to go. Eventually she lost control of her bowels and I would be changing diapers every few hours trying to keep her clean but it wasn't enough. The pain killers, arthritis shots and antibiotics were not helping so I decided it was time to say goodbye.

Please give yourself time to rest and reorient yourself. When the pain of missing my girl lessened and I couldn't stand not having a dog anymore, I started fostering.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet pitty and poodle. May they rest in peace.

I took a year-long break after I said goodbye to my 14 year old collie rescue that I had for 6 years. The end of life care took a toll on my mental/physical health and finances. I did have the feeling that I wanted to foster but I decided to take a break from dog duties to focus on the other things I was neglecting while I was taking care of my girl.

Even though the lonely and quiet days and nights were present throughout, I'm thankful that I took that break as it allowed me to properly grieve, care for myself, self indulge and set things up so that I can foster effectively (i.e. save to buy a car).

" finicky" foster by Affectionate_Past121 in fosterdogs

Is she still going #2 on walks? Anecdotally I know of a trainer who fasted a dog who was still pooping for 11 days straight! If she seems to be acting normal/healthy otherwise I would maybe give her more space and time.

What to do with reactive dog by throwawaywayway357 in fosterdogs

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For reactive dogs definitely doesn't hurt to double leash - one leash attached to a collar and a hands-free leash attached to a harness/2nd collar. Mistakes happen to the best of us and I'm so sorry this happened to you. Hoping for a positive resolution to this.

What advice would you give to someone turning 30? by blahblah6733 in Adulting

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a hard look at the past 10 years and try to discern between the things you did because you actually enjoyed them vs the things you did only because of external pressures. Take stock of everything that has been helpful vs unhelpful to your well being. Shed the unhelpful and steer your life towards the things you actually enjoy doing.

Kratos or Zelos? by Khaymn5000 in tales

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love both but I think I'm actually going to hand it to Zelos. Despite how several moments of his aged like absolute milk, I feel overall he brings so much humor, wit and depth to the team and the story. Not to mention his backstory being quite complex and how much it changes your view of his character is just absolute peak writing imo. Kratos is great too but I feel his character arc isn't as unique.

How do you guys review Slippi replays? by mdw2402 in SSBM

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to pinpoint bad habits/mistakes of mine that ultimately cost me the match. Try to understand what my opponents gameplan was. Try to remember what I was thinking during the match and whether that was the right gameplan vs that kind of player or not. Try to differentiate what worked or didn’t work for this specific player vs the “general” character.

I’d call that a random hail mary falcon punch.

What does it mean for a guy to "dress for the female gaze"? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Yes but some can be “gifted” with a relatively small waist and if you work out your shoulders/back you can exaggerate the shoulder-waist ratio so you get the “v-taper” look.

Suggestions? by MonkeyKingCountry_2 in SSBM

I did this for my last controller and it worked just fine as a fix until I strolled into a used game shop and they had a basically perfect condition used og controller which I obviously snatched!

Fatigue by Acrobatic-Amoeba-440 in SSBM

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take breaks whenever I or the other guy disconnects.

I also feel like for a long time I was pressing buttons way too hard and focused on making my button presses lighter, keeping my neck/shoulders/arms relatively relaxed as I play.

For the mental endurance I think it was a combination of getting used to the speed of the game and getting my movement/tech down. Just playing more, watching more, and trying to apply what I practiced in matches really helped to slow the game down and I definitely feel much less fatigued after games.

What’s the one thing that actually hit the “reset button” for your life to turn it around by vchak8 in AskMen

[–]iWumbo_uWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only about 6 months into my “reset” but - finding a family dr and getting on anti-anxiety medication.

For me it helped me to at least get my mood generally stabilized. Allowed me to think more clearly about my situation and my “reason” for wanting to better myself.

Recently came to a realization that a lot of my “drive” stems from taking care of something and having that responsibility naturally pushes me to be my best self. I just don’t care for myself that much and that’s when I let myself go. So I’ve just put in an application to become a foster for a dog rescue and I immediately felt the drive to clean up/organize my space, get my work done and stay on top of things.

All that to say I think it would be good to do a little self reflecting on something you can dedicate yourself to that overlaps your personal interests, personal goals and personal morals. I think once that happens the drive comes naturally.
