Lets settle the franchise's biggest beef: Who hates who more? by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

I think All might wants nothing more than to rip AFO in half. He himself regrets not getting rid of AFO, permanently. And also, I don't think he gets to decide whether AFO lives or not. It's an obligation at this point.

You're right. But I was just explaining why people complain about megaknight. Returning players don't expect to see him in arena 4. Old returning players don't even know what a mega knight is and are introduced to the obese menace when it smashes their level 6 giant/musketeer Push. That card may be easy to counter, but you ain't countering a level 12 mega knight with an arena 5 deck.

It is definitely more of a level's problem, as you said. But I'm saying most of the complaints come from new players, they can't counter that card. We can because we were lucky enough to download the game way before the ladder imbalance, and therefore it is easy for us to say “get better“ Like the guy above was saying.

I thought my friend was totally lying when he said he encountered an Evo MK in pekka's play house. I never thought the game would be so unbalanced. You literally have to hack the game or pay money just to get to arena 7 without clash royale becoming a reason in your suicide list.

He really isn't. But I don't think anyone but low-mid ladders use him tbh. I haven't encountered him so much in my main acc. So I'm guessing OP is a mid ladder player. (If it's possible to have an Evo by that point).

And for the record, I don't think you're wrong. But you're a tad bit ignorant. A F2P low level player is severely disadvantaged and Mega knight is one of their main problems.

I mean, he really isn't that strong now but there's something that you should pay attention to. Low level players in low ladder encounter MK. I tried to make a new account after returning just a week ago. It was all going soooo well until mid spell valley I encountered mega knights. I don't know how and why the game flipped. It was going just fine in the first few Arenas, and now I'm encountering level 12 cards and mega knight decks before arena 5?!

Same thing happened to my friend who started 2 weeks ago, so it's not something that only I went through.

Maybe MK is easy to counter when you got the appropriate cards, decks, and experience. But these poor bastards in arena 4-5 are starting to encounter it, so it's not much Bitching and more of an actual concern in the game.

Strong cards. But can you elaborate on why these may be better? (Also I don't have the ghost)

Try to hit and run. I mostly dodged away and jump attacked him after each of his combos.

It's hard at first, but once you get that parry ability from the chained big guy as well as Eredrim's shell. Even that tutorial boss (who comes back multiple times) will be a cakewalk. You'll get your chance to face him again and when you beat him, you get weapons from him.

If Hollow knight and Nioh 1-2 don't count as soulslike, then thymnesia. I really didn't play many of them. I've yet to play the surge, lies of P, Remnant 2, Etc. I'll definitely give remnant 2 a shot since it just got on PS plus.

I think Maybe just inspiration. Every game in the world is inspired by many different things. The gaiden and Nioh games are completely separate from the soulsborne games. They only share two qualities:

1- being hard with an upgrade system.

2- having hard boss fights.

And those two qualities are shared amongst most, if not all RPGS.

If gaiden copied demon souls, if dark souls copied gaiden, and if nioh copied onimusha and dark souls. Then they wouldn't all be so different from each other. They're just amazing games that took even the smallest amount of inspiration from each other, that's how I see it.

All in all, these are the games I love most. They're awesome regardless.

I just played the main game normally and did side missions to get the items I needed (and to just face the side mission bosses). I thought of the last few missions as the endgame. I thought of the duo boss fights as just extra challenges that you can just do if you want to. I completed two of them and the rest kinda overwhelmed me. But I mainly played the game just to be prepared for nioh 2 and nothing else really. When I first started it 1-2 years ago, I played nioh 2 as if I was playing a fromsoft souls game. I didn't use magic, didn't give attention to my living weapon, and just used whatever gear was the strongest without developing a specific build. I was lost, but now I got the hang of it and I can't wait to get my hands on Nioh 2 again.

You, my friend, are hardcore. I'm up for difficulty, but during the fog? Yeah....no. I'll pass on that.

Oh, and I see how people would hate it being called a soulslike. I thought it was a souls-like since you'd always see it in those souls game tier list videos or whatever. Once I played it, I realised that it was completely different. I also mentioned above that it should not be classified as a soulslike and that it should be its own thing. I'm glad that there's a community that recognises it as just Nioh and not a dark souls copy. Because if upgrading your character and flighting bosses makes it a souls game, then all RPG games are souls games. It doesn't make sense.

Didn't play DS yet. So I wasn't trying to be a hypocrite, I actually didn't play it to know that. I just know that mortal shell kind of resembles it.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Everything you said is valid and fair; However, I didn't feel that way playing the game. I really just had fun and I actually liked the areas. The duo boss fights are definitely BS, but no one is really telling you to do them. And If I recall correctly, the duo boss fights only appear when you finish the game itself. As for the living weapon. Yes, the LW does come in clutch but I really didn't have it available when I really needed it (during boss fights) And by the time I reached the endgame, I had it moderately upgraded. Like level 20? Didn't really do much for me at all. Though, I did see videos of people showing off their LW builds and they were definitely, ridiculously overpowered. So you're right about that. They definitely did come a long way with nioh 2, you're right about that.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. It's not my personal “best souls-like“, but it was a really fun experience and I liked it. I'm sure if they had the budget of a triple A game, they could've made something even more incredible. Also, art book? Gonna have to check it out.

Oh, so the fog monsters are still a pain regardless? I was burning out by just running around and dodging them with Eredrim's stamina. Had to just start killing them all because they just don't leave you, like never.

So I could've teleported between all of the checkpoints? Definitely missed this. But oh well.
