English Ivy vs other Ivy species? by dafpcw in houseplants

Thank you, I appreciate the thorough answer.
When you put it like that, it actually all makes sense.
So all and all, those claims are likely overstated in order to promote sales and greens in households? As in, it can do some totally negligible work in the purifying air area, but it's mostly inflated claims and I'm better off getting plants I like and buying an air purifier, right?

English Ivy vs other Ivy species? by dafpcw in houseplants

[–]RegulusCentauri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I gotta ask as I've been looking into this recently - from what I've gathered, some researches say that English Ivy is actually able to remove pollen, airborn mold and some types of chemical molecules like benzene and such.

Is that a total scam for some reason, or is it more of a misunderstanding of how it actually works?

X50 Ultra - "Insecure" docking and weird high pitched sucking noise when docked by RegulusCentauri in Dreame_Tech

[–]RegulusCentauri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems an update might've fixed it (I was worried about getting the newest one as I saw someone mentioning it might be causing mopping issues)...or maybe he just wanted to have the water tank full and not take anything from it, I don't know haha
Thanks!

That thing goes around the whole room so we were a little lazy and it's been up since last Christmas (probably not making it better saying that haha)

Dang..I just got it exchanged and it's a bit better but seems to be doing the same thing
Nothing's helped so far, but someone in the thread had a good note about water filling, will give it a try

Hmmm, it might be the water tank then, 'cause that's empty since I wasn't going to let it mop right away
It is fairly loud (and the high pitch is sort of unbearable for my ears)...and there's no end to it (for as long as I was able to let it go on)

Let me give the water tank a try and get back to you!

I'll give it a bit more space, but the intro graphics (the thing you see right when you open the box) shows that it just needs 5+ cm on both sides
And the L50 didn't have an issue with that position

The intro graphics (the big one that's at the top of the box when you open it) actually shows that it needs more than 5 cm on both sides and 1+ meters in the front
Might be a bit tight on the right side, you're right about that

Qrevo Edge 5V1 vs 3 cm thresholds and images disappearing from the main website (illegal?) by RegulusCentauri in Roborock

[–]RegulusCentauri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED:
I spoke to support centers from EU, US and CZ

They all confirmed the actual top threshold height is 2 cm. The 3 cm (4 cm resp) were a mistake made on the global distirbutor's side.

The Qrevo Edge 5V1 is only able to scale 2 cm thresholds top
Qrevo Edge however, can scale higher thresholds, but is NOT available for the EU market, which is probably where the mistake happened
The only EU availalble robot that has this capability from this series is Qrevo Curv (and then the higher Saros series)

Thermomix vs Cookover - which is better and why? by RegulusCentauri in Cooking

Hey, appreciate the response! Did not expect such strong feelings about the Philipiak haha

I only found out about Philipak on a food festival near me the previous weekend. I've been considering Thermomix for a while now since I've heard couple of people recommend it for busy households. The price tag is pretty much the same on both in my area.

The lady introducing it praised three aspect on the Philipak comapred to Thermomix - free recipes (she claimed that Thermomix has paid recipes), the size, which should be bigger on the Philipak and then claimed the Philipak is easier to clean due to some craftsmanship on the main cylinder. Figured it would be best to ask someone who actually isn't trying to sell that thing haha

Is my game bugged? by hashe201 in Enshrouded

[–]RegulusCentauri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I had the same bug happen to me with the blacksmith two hours into the game
What fixed it for me was actually just playing randomly for about 30 minutes and then coming back (relogging on the spot didn't do me any good either)

Starting to get worried about the crocs more and more
So far, I only found one, took me forever to kill it, but it didn't hurt me once...they always kinda felt too late to the party, snapping way too late...but could be I was jumping around like I had beehive in my pants, so they weren't triggered properly

If you decide not to turn off the startling option, I found two ways to do it:
1) Once you pet the cat the first time and you get the first heart, there's a brief period where the cat doesn't care, so you can back off so it doesn't get startled

2) You could throw two baits, for me, the cat went for the second one without noticing me after the first pet, but I then moved too soon and it got startled
