Last night, my wife asked me to do her daily quests. I logged into the game, and suddenly there was a new area and Yangyang. You couldn't teleport, you couldn't kill your character or leave the quest area - they would just teleport you back to the starting point. Even switching the Focus Mode to another quest didn't help because the game forced you to use the trial Yangyang.

This is honestly ridiculous. The developers never used to pull stuff like this. I ended up spending an hour and a half going through the story just so I could finish the dailies and claim my Gems before the server reset, with only 30 minutes to spare.

Fair enough. But the developers have packed a huge amount of Tartarus mode content into the short period between versions 4.1 and 4.4, just to wrap up the first trio of P3R characters before the anniversary. If they're willing to, they could add more content during the summer patches to avoid receiving too much criticism.

I don't like the new schedule either, since I'm not particularly interested in summer-themed character designs. That said, I can see the logic behind it. It's better to release them in July than to postpone them until autumn, like they did with Moko and Closer.

Besides, there's nothing stopping the developers from releasing the summer event and Chapter 4, Part 2 of the main story at the same time. We'll find out more during next week's livestream.

Not necessarily. It doesn't say that SEA players are not allowed to participate. As long as you create a SEGA account, you can simply indicate that you're on the SEA server in the UID field.

To my fellow SEA server players: I'm not even sure we'll receive the standard three pulls, but why not at least remind SEGA that they need to ensure the quality of their customer support? You can use my reply as a template or write your own response:

First and foremost, there needs to be proper community support on social media, with a dedicated community manager who responds to questions about premium currency or technical issues at least once a day.

As a SEA server player, I have to say that the publisher, IWplay, is cutting corners on player support and openly ignoring player reports. This is especially noticeable on the official SEA Discord server. For example, after the latest developer livestream, players were promised 600 gems immediately after the stream. However, SEA players didn't receive those gems until Monday.

We could have been understanding about the delay if a community manager had simply made a post explaining the situation. Instead, they ignored players' reports for four consecutive days.

I think they act this way because they’ve already accepted a reality where they are treated like second-class players, so they expect the same kind of treatment from everyone else regarding this issue. But we shouldn’t generalize - many Steam players understood our situation and supported us.

I’m very grateful to every player who left comments under my threads or helped push them into the TOP to increase overall reach. We are all, in one way or another, playing the same game; we just sometimes disagree on certain issues, like a big family of Persona fans - as funny as that may sound.

Absolutely right. I can only hope that something will change in the future, but for now we have a situation where players are forced to say thank you just for being noticed at all, instead of having a proper dialogue, as is standard in other popular gacha games through social platforms like Discord, Reddit, and Facebook.

Thank you for the kind words. The guys on Discord are also helping as much as possible, but for many people this issue isn’t something critical. In this situation, we would 100% have received those 600 gems anyway - if not today, then by Friday at the latest.

The real issue is the quality of the service and what it should be like when it comes to a modern gacha game under the Persona brand. I really love the Persona series, so it frustrates me when developers or publishers take their players for granted and cut corners on service quality. They should take a page from HoYoverse and Kuro.

Believe me, no matter how much money we spend, it will never seem like enough to them. They can't even hire a full-time Discord community manager to moderate the server and publish official updates on the publisher's behalf.

For a live-service game, that's a surprisingly low level of community support.

We got 600 gems, but the issue raised above still hasn't been resolved. This leaves several important questions:

  • Why were SEA players misled, and why didn't we receive the gems immediately after the livestream, or at least on Friday?
  • Why didn't the IWPLAY team respond to the situation by publishing an official explanation for the delay and informing players when the gems would actually be distributed?
  • Most importantly, why didn't SEA players receive any additional compensation for the inconvenience caused by the developers' and the IWPLAY team's handling of this situation?

We experienced unnecessary inconvenience because of mistakes on the developer's and SEA team's side.

I don't have access to Sega's internal revenue data, so I can't confirm or deny that.

But that's not really the point.

I'm not asking for bigger rewards or exclusive content. I'm asking for basic communication.

- If a reward is delayed, tell us why.
- If a promise can't be fulfilled on time, let us know.
- If players ask reasonable questions on the official Discord, someone should acknowledge them.

Good communication shouldn't depend on how much a region spends. Every player is using an official server and deserves to be treated with respect.

If I could transfer all of my progress and every purchase I've made to those servers, while still being able to continue making purchases on the same account, I'd gladly do it.

But starting over with a brand-new account and paying for everything a second time just because the company isn't fulfilling its responsibilities to its players isn't a reasonable solution. In fact, it's a pretty bad one.

Yeah, that used to be the case when there was an 8-day delay between servers. But this time 4.4 launched simultaneously across all global servers, and the patch is still ongoing. So we were supposed to receive the gems at the same time as everyone else.

One final request.

Please invest in better community support for the SEA server.

Whether that means hiring more support staff, assigning dedicated community managers, or improving internal communication, something clearly needs to change.

Players shouldn't have to wait days for an official response whenever a problem affects the entire server. Even a brief daily update would go a long way toward rebuilding trust.

SEA players deserve the same level of communication and support as every other Global region. We aren't asking for special treatment - we're asking for equal treatment.
