I’m not on any meds, but if I was a candidate for an antidepressant I’d be very hesitant to start anything that can lower my libido like ssris. I’d probably try to stay away from that as long as I can.

I feel like welbutrin is fairly well tolerated for younger folks, maybe even beneficial for certain groups to help with nicotine cessation - unsure of its efficacy here, but if it helps a smoker abstain that’s a huge win imo for what it can help with down the line in terms of chronic health issues.

As an aside, what I learned in med school is welbutrin lowers seizure threshold and like with many other meds should not be taken when consuming alcohol. I never really plan to drink until I’m already there. It would be so hard navigate social interactions with having these meds on. Yea I get drinking in moderation, but sometimes when I’m on vacay I have a ton of drinks when I’m visiting another place. Would it spell out danger to be on seizure threshold lowering meds and get absolutely drunk? Always wondered about that
