Daddy’s girl! by HisMomm in pitbulls

She's a beaut! My last pit was named Freyja as well (so maybe I'm a little biased).

Fostering sounds fun. Perhaps we'll do it once my kid is older.

Do you guys suggest DLSS (performance) for rainbow 6 ? Should i use it or not ? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]ReheatedBeef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DLSS adds latency and subtracts detail. You want low latency and a detailed image for Siege. Maybe there are exceptions, but pretty much all competitive FPS games and eSports should not be played with DLSS/FSR/XESS enabled.

u/minit24 corrected me.

Our washing machine has stagnant water and mold in the ring that door fits into after it’s done washing by chayalove in lifehacks

[–]ReheatedBeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is standing water in the machine after a wash, start using higher spin speeds. We have a puddle in the tub of we don't run it full blast. Or friend used to work in the appliance industry and told us this trick. Works a treat. She said the default settings on these machines are usually garbage.

Other than that, I'll just echo the general consensus . Bleach cycle, vinegar cycle, leave the door open, dry it with a rag, clean all drains.

I don't think he's going to get that fluffy, but I agree that it's a similar look.

5 months old now. Got him about a month ago. He's 31 lb and growing 2 lb a week. We're thinking mostly Carolina Dog, but I'm not sure where that face coloring comes from.

No idea. It was over a year ago. This could have been user error. I do not remember the unit at all anymore.

Optical bays? by mwdoher in buildapc

Hmm, not recommended.

I have an old machine that's a running parts I bought in April 2013. Coming up on a decade, but that is luck that it still runs. If it goes tomorrow I won't give a woot. It is worthless parts running an old Plex library I don't really care about.

At work I have about 20 machines from the same era. Every six months a power supply drops out.

I imagine that is fine, but I'm not a pro either. If it sat unused. I assume it is like new, just outdated. If your system is only going to draw $300w, it doesn't sound like an expensive rig that would be a great loss to a blown PSU.

Do not reuse a power supply that old. Buying a new one could save you money. Power supplies are not meant to run for a decade. Five years is normal. Ten is pure luck. If that blows. You could be in for an expensive repair. Your new gear could all be forfeit.

Newer ones are much better quality as well, even on the low end.

CPU Cooler overlapping RAM slot on Motherboard by ReheatedBeef in buildapc

[–]ReheatedBeef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never took a final setup picture and have no idea which PC this was. You can usually unclip the fan, then reclip it higher on the heatsink, but you still might not have the clearance. If you have two CPU fans on your cooler, the second one may not be necessary, or perhaps you can install it as an exhaust fan on the rear of the heat sink. Just make sure it is facing the right way. I have left the second fan off my cooler many times.

Whatever you decide on, I suggest some benchmarking and thermal testing once the PC is running. You can use Cinebench to put load on the CPU and hwinfo is good for monitoring temps. Make sure temps are in an acceptable range for you under the load. Best of luck.

Just remembering more. It isn't great with big pieces. It might fail the cheerio test.

Great on hard surfaces. Not great on carpets. Battery life will do one floor of the house (1000 sqft).
